Home My WebLink AboutContract 52483-A2 CSC No. 52483-A2 AMENDMENT No.2 TO CITY SECRETARY CONTRACT No. 52483 WHEREAS, the City of Fort Worth (CITY) and Halff Associates, Inc. , (ENGINEER) , made and entered into City Secretary Contract No. 52483, (the CONTRACT) , which was authorized by M&C No. C-29147 on the 11 day of June, 2019 in the amount of $ 930, 000 . 00 (Nine hundred and Thirty Thousand Dollars) ; and WHEREAS, the CONTRACT involves engineering services for the following project: CentrePort Trail Phase I and Phase II Project; and WHEREAS, it has become necessary to execute Amendment No. 2 to the CONTRACT to include an increased scope of work and revised fee. NOW THEREFORE, CITY and ENGINEER, acting herein by and through their duly authorized representatives, enter into the following agreement, which amends the CONTRACT: 1 . Article I of the CONTRACT is amended to include the additional engineering services specified in a scope of services proposal, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein (Attachment A) . The cost to City for the additional design services to be performed by Engineer totals $37,000. 00 (see attached Funding Breakdown Sheet, page 3) . 2 . Article II of the CONTRACT is amended to provide for an increase in the fee to be paid to Engineer for all work and services performed under the Contract, as amended, so that the total fee paid by the City for all work and services shall be an amount of $994,000. 00. 3 . All other provisions of the Contract, which are not expressly amended herein, shall remain in full force and effect. EXECUTED and EFFECTIVE as of the date last written by a signatory, below. The specific H&H services provided as part of this amendment are as follows: Additional Services The Phase I H&H budget of$5,000 mainly only covered the cost of limited internal analysis and did not include the development and submittal of reports to TxDOT and the City of Ft. Worth. The following is a summary of the additional services requested for the effort that has exceeded the original scope. • Data collection including topographic contours and land use for the unnamed tributary H&H study. Includes development of the terrain to extract HEC-RAS cross section geometry. • Development and QA/QC of the hydrology study for the unnamed tributary. • Development and QA/QC of the hydraulic study for the unnamed tributary. • Development and QA/QC of a TxDOT format report to submit to TxDOT for review. Includes coordination and time to address TxDOT's comments. • Development and QA/QC of a floodplain study report to request a floodplain permit from the City of Ft. Worth. Includes City forms and developing additional exhibits not included in the TxDOT report as required to document the floodplain study methodology. Includes coordination and time to address the City's comments. To perform these additional services, Halff is requesting a lump sum fee of$32,000.00 for the H&H work and coordination/management and communication with the H&H team. The specific JPCentre services provided as part of this amendment are as follows: Additional Services This additional service is for the work performed on the added JPCentre 8' trail connection from Phase I to Phase 11.A connection study was sent to the CLIENT on March 10th, an exhibit was sent on April 215t and 30% Schematic Design sheets with cost estimate were sent on June 12th. This effort culminated on June 25, 2020 with JP Morgan abandoning idea of an 8' width connector trail to the CentrePort Phase 11 trail.
