AMENDMENT No. 1
TO CITY SECRETARY CONTRACT
WHEREAS, the City of Fort Worth (CITY) and EJES,Inc. ,
(ENGINEER) made and entered into City Secretary Contract No. 52966,
(the CONTRACT) which was authorized by M&C 19-0205 on the 24u' of
September, 2019 in the amount of $222,839 .00; and
WHEREAS, the CONTRACT involves engineering services for the
following project:
Water and Sanitary Sewer Replacement Contract 2018; and
WHEREAS, it has become necessary to execute Amendment No. 1
to the CONTRACT to include an increased scope of work and revised
fee.
NOW THEREFORE, CITY and ENGINEER, acting herein by and
through their duly authorized representatives, enter into the
following agreement, which amends the CONTRACT:
1.
Article I of the CONTRACT is amended to include the additional
engineering services specified in the proposal attached hereto and
incorporated herein. The cost to City for the additional
professional services to be performed by Engineer total $26,341. 00
(Water: $13,351 .00; Sewer: $12,990 . 00) .

Article II of the CONTRACT is amended to provide for an
increase in the fee to be paid to Engineer for all work and services
performed under the Contract, as amended, so that the total fee paid
by the City for all work and services shall be an amount of
$249,180 .00 .
3.
All other provisions of the Contract, which are not expressly
amended herein, shall remain in full force and effect.

Water & Sanitary Sewer Replacement

Additional Design Services
Dear Mr. Sholola:
Per your request, we are pleased to submit this Amendment No. 1 for additional design services required to
complete the above referenced project. The requested modifications is outside of our scope of services as
set forth in City Secretary Contract No. 101668, therefore this Amendment No. 1 is being developed to
further identify these services and summarize the associated costs. The additional services will include the
following:
1. Relocation of sanitary sewer line L-6181— 191 LF of existing 8"sanitary sewer main is to be
relocated from the east parkway of Wilhelm St. west to 20'east of and parallel to the west right of
way. (1 Sheet)
2. Relocation of sanitary sewer line L-6182
Total length of main to be relocated is 674 LF. (2 sheets)
a. 646 LF of existing 8"sanitary sewer main is to be relocated from the west parkway of Wilhelm St.
east to 22'west of and parallel to the east right of way.
ib. 28 LF of proposed 8"sanitary sewer main extension from the existing manhole on Burke Road,
to the new manhole at Burke Road/Wilhelm Street intersection.
3. Preparation of Metes and Bounds for sanitary sewer line L-5133— 6 to 8 feet wide easement for
sanitary sewer line L- 5133 located behind two properties, lot#13 and lot#14, south of Tallie Road.
(Recent information received from the City reveals that an existing 5-foot wide easement has been
found for this line segment. However, it is not clear currently if the easement suffices or not. Once it
is determined that no additional easement is required, this line item will be removed).

4. Additional Water design along S. Cravens Roads from Prothrow Street to Tallie Road.
This new 12"water main will close the currently open water loop system at the east ends of
Rickenbacker Place and Prothrow St.
a. 565 LF of survey work required for this water main design.
b. 565 LF of proposed 12"water design; Design includes 2 sheets of plan and profile sheets.
We are requesting your assistance in the execution of this Amendment No. 1 in order for us to expeditiously
perform these services.
The attached EXHIBIT I, outlines the additional tasks, personnel and man-hours we anticipate to be
required to make the requested revisions. The total fee for these additional services will be an amount not
to exceed $26,341.00. (The fee for the Water work type is $13,351.00 and the fee for the sewer work type
is $12,990.00).
In order to avoid any further delay in the project schedule, EJES, Inc. will proceed to make the requested
revisions outlined above at this time.
These Amendment No. 1 services will be performed with the good faith understanding that an executed
agreement for additional compensation is forthcoming and will be received prior to submittal of the final
documents. The total contract amount to date, including amendments, is as follows:
Original Contract Amount = $222,839.00
Amendment No. 1 = $ 26,341.00
New Contract Amount = $249,180.00
The City MWBE goal for this contract is 10%. The total amount paid to MWWBE on total contract amount of
$249,180.00 is $95,361.00 which is 38.27%; therefore, the City MWBE goal is satisfied.
