FOR ARCHITECTURAL DESIGN SERVICES
NEW CONVENTION CENTER PARKING STRUCTURE

WHEREAS, The City of Fort Worth and Jacobs Facilities, Inc. Architect made and entered into City
Secretary Contract No. 33230(The Contract)which was authorized by the City Council by M&C -21271,
the 24th day of January, 2006; and
WHEREAS, further amendment is necessary to reimburse the Architect for additional design services to
include the design of the steel plate embeds for the window Bali connections at each corner of the
parking garage-7 and
NOW THEREFORE, City and Architect, acting herein by and through their duly authorized
representatives, enter into the following agreement which amends the Contract.

Article 1.1, SECTION I —SERVICES OF THE ARCHITECT, a paragraph is added to read as follows:
"Provide additional design services for the steel plate embeds for the window wall connections.
The cost of this additional service is $5,500.00. The scope of services is described more fully in
the Jacobs letter dated October 26, 2007, subject: D y of Fort Worth, Convention Center Parking
Garage, Proposal for Window Wall Embed Plate Design, Project No. F VV 1600 which is
attached hereto as Attachment"A" and made a part of this Agreement."

Paragraph 1 of SECTION V- COMPENSATION TO ARCHITECT, is amended as follows:
"The total compensation for all of the assignments to be performed by Architect as described in
CHARACTER of ARCHITECT'S SERVICES ES (Section III hereof) shall be $1,283,158, hereinafter
referred to as the"total fee„, plus up to$30,000 in reimbursable expenses.”

All other provisions of this Contract which are not expressly amended herein shall remain in full force and
effect.

Dear Jack-
At the request of Thomas S. Byrne(TSB),we are pleased to submit our proposal to the City of Fort
Worth to provide additional professional services for the Convention Center Parking Garage project.
Following you will find an itemized discussion of our understanding of the scope, schedule, and fee
requirements.

COPE of SERVICES

Our services will include the design of embed prates for the window wall connections at each corner
of the parking garage.
This proposal is based on the follovAng assumptions: �

1. TSB will provide a complete set of layout drawings that locates all required embed plates.
2. TSB will provide design loads for all embed plates to be designed by Jacobs.
3. TSB will
provide recommended embed plate geometry.
4. Jacobs will review the entire project one time and design the embed plates.
5. Jacobs will provide sketches to TSB that will be used by the window wall suipplier in
preparation of shop drawings. There is no CDD drafting required for this exercise.

We believe these are services that should be included in TSB's scope, and as suich, this design fee
shouild be deducted from TSB's contract amount.
