As part of this work, the Contractor will delete identified fiberglass guardrail/handrail, and install additional aluminum guardrail/handrail. There is a net 155 linear feet increase in guardrail/handrail included in this change request. The Fort Worth Water Department concurs with the recommendation of Black & Veatch to accept the contract modification. After recent discussions with the commissioned artist for the project, it was decided that the proposed mosaic lights will need to be revisited. Therefore, revised CPR-18 covers only the revisions to the building canopy lighting. The Fort Worth Water Department concurs with the recommendation of Black & Veatch to accept the contract modification. Total cost to the Fort Worth Water Department for the proposed change amounts to $1,012.00 with no additional time requested. 1bis change will be incorporated into Change Order #2 to the contract. Depending on what FSG indicates are the implications of having to send .back for restock if a modification of the selection is required would be a main factor. I assume those are ordered units for which my understanding is that many times restock is not an option. With regard to a cost increase in late June for those four lights, I am sure that the material increase is less than what might have to be 'eaten' if they won't take them back due to revised selection. It is my understanding that those fixtures are the bulk of the additional cost in that CPR. The lighting for the tile mosaic may be up in the air depending on coordination of the Public Art Group's requirements. We have clarified a few items for them, but need to discuss further. Chris may have comments regarding this, but I do not feel that the lighting at that location has been resolved as of yet. The only item I would be concerned about holding pricing on for 3-4 months is the 316SS bolt set. SS can really fluctuate over a quarter, and I would imagine it would go up by September/October. Beyond that, everything else should be good barring some sort of disaster (natural or man-made) which would affect raw material pricing. Please call with any questions . Sheet MB-5 Section 4 shows the 4" UW to be running at an elevation of 871.00'. Sheet MB-11 Section 1 shows the UW running above the 1' x s• openings in the Flocculaton basin channel which had an invert elevation of 870.00' before being deleted. The 4 • UW inside of the Flocculation Basins is in conflict with the beams. McCarthy has already installed 3 wall pipes at the 871.00' elevation (1) in the divider wal between Floe Basin 1 and 2 and (1} in the divider wall between Floe Basin 2 and 3 and (1) in the divider wall between the Tunnel B and the Floe Water Channel. Suggestion McCarthy proposes dropping the last sleeve between the Flocculated Water Channel and Floe Basin 1 to a CL elevation of 869.92'. We would then use back to back 90's at both sides of the wal pipes already Installed in the Floe Basins to get the pipe to run below the beams. This would allow us to utilize the sleeves already poured in place. Please advise If this is acceptable.
