AMENDMENT No. 2 CONTRACT NO
TO CITY SECRETARY CONTRACT
WHEREAS, the City of Fort Worth (CITY) and Half£
Associates, Inc. , (ENGINEER) made and entered into City
Secretary Contract No. 42414 , (CONTRACT) which was authorized
by M&C C-25001 on the 12th day of July, 2011 in the amount of
$174,972; and
WHEREAS, the contract was subsequently revised by:
Amendment Number 1 in the amount of $140, 605 . 00 authorized by
the City Council on the 1st day of March, 2012 ; and
WHEREAS, the CONTRACT involves engineering services for
the following project:
SANITARY SEWER REHABILITATION CONTRACT 80 (LXXX) ; and
WHEREAS, it has become necessary to execute Amendment
No. 2 to the CONTRACT to include an increased scope of work
and revised fee.
NOW THEREFORE, CITY and ENGINEER, acting herein by and
through their duly authorized representatives, enter into the
following agreement, which amends the CONTRACT:

Article I of the CONTRACT is amended to include the
additional engineering services specified in a proposal dated
November 12 , 2012, a copy of which is attached hereto and
incorporated herein. The cost to City for the additional
design services to be performed by Engineer totals
$12, 684 .00 .
2 .
Article II of the CONTRACT is amended to provide for an
increase in ee to be paid to Engineer for all work and

services performed under the Contract, as amended, so that
the total fee paid by the City for all work and services
shall be an amount of $328,261 . 00.

All other provisions of the Contract, which are not
expressly amended herein, shall remain in full force and
effect.

RE: Amendment No. 2—Sanitary Sewer Rehabilitation Contract LXYX (80)
City Project No. 01499
Dear Mr. Sauceda:
Halff Associates presents this Amendment No. 2 for additional services to City Project No. 01499.
Amendment No. 2 shall include the effort necessary to separate Contract 80 into two bid packages,
Part 1 and Part 2.
• TASK 3. PRELIMINARY DESIGN (60 PERCENT). ASSUMPTIONS — Develop an
additional 10 sheets and edit original sheets to create two separate plan sets, Part 1 and Part
2.
• TASK 4. FINAL DESIGN (90 PERCENT) AND FINAL CONSTRUCTION
DOCUMENTS (100 PERCENT). ASSUMPTIONS — Develop separate estimates of
probable construction cost and construction specifications for Parts 1 and 2.
• TASK 5. BID PHASE SERVICES. ASSUMPTIONS — Provide bid phase services for
both bid packages, Part 1 and Part 2.
• TASK 6. CONSTRUCTION PHASE SERVICES. ASSUMPTIONS — Provide
construction phase services for both construction packages, Part I and Part 2.
• TASK 7. ROW/EASEMENT SERVICES. ASSUMPTIONS — Update TROE forms and
exhibits to reflect division into Parts 1 and 2.
• REPRODUCTION. ASSUMPTIONS —Provide an additional 10 Mylar sheets and provide
additional plan sets to TWDB for SRF approval.
A summary of the proposed budget for this revised amendment is as follows:

None of the effort in Amendment 2 is associated with an M/WBE subcontractor. The current
M/WBE amount is $106,000 from the original contract and Amendment 1. This is 33.6% of the
current contract total_ Amendment 2 will bring the total contract amount to $328,261 with 32.3%
being M/WBE effort. This is well above the 23%M/WBE goal set for the original project.
