FIRST AMENDMENT TO
CITY SECRETARY CONTRACT NO. 56622
This First Amendment to City Secretary Contract No. 56622 is entered into by and between the
City of Fort Worth, Texas, a home-rule municipality located within Tarrant County Texas, ("City")
acting through Valerie Washington, its duly authorized Assistant City Manager, and G.L. Morris
Enterprises, Inc. dba Sunbelt Industrial Services ("Contractor"), acting through Marla Murphy, its
duly authorized President.
WHEREAS, the City and Contractor entered into that certain agreement identified as City
Secretary Contract No. 56622 (the "Contract") commencing on November 8, 2021 for services
involving petroleum storage tank removal and applicable remediation activities; and
WHEREAS, the Contract is exempt from the provisions of Chapter 252 of the Texas Local
Government Code because the services are necessary to preserve or protect the public health or
safety of the City's residents; and
WHEREAS, the parties agree that all other conditions, terms, and pricing shall remain the same
as stated in the Contract.
NOW, THEREFORE, for and in consideration of the mutual covenants contained herein, and
other good and valuable consideration, the receipt and sufficiency of which are hereby
acknowledged and confessed, the parties hereto agree as follows:
1. Additional required services:
City Secretary Contract No. 56622 is amended to include the following additional required items
for completion of the original services:
At the UST location, 2201 West Daggett;
• a traffic control plan is required when the adjacent street, West Broadway, will be blocked
to facilitate the removal of the USTs from the former Water Service Center. In addition to
the formal traffic control plan, applicable barricades and signage will be required during
the removal process.
• Border fencing will be required to be removed and replaced once the UST removal
activities have been completed.
• Additional equipment rental is required. A crane will be required to extract the USTs from
the existing tankhold.
2. Compensation Not to Exceed Amount:
Additional compensation for the additional required items under this First Amendment shall not

exceed Eleven Thousand and Fifteen Dollars ($11,015.00), billable according to the
compensation schedule of the Contract and subject to all other terms and conditions as stated in
the Contract. Total compensation for the entirety of the Contract shall not exceed Seventy-Five
Thousand, Five Hundred and Seventy-Six Dollars ($75,576.00).
3. Miscellaneous:
All other definitions, terms, and conditions of the Contract shall remain unchanged except as
expressly set forth herein.
IN WITNESS THEREOF, the parties have executed this contract in Fort Worth, Texas, on the
dates written below.
