This scope of work for Task 111 is in addition to Tasks I and 11 previously approved. CP&Y has completed Task I and 11 briefly described below and will perform Task III as stipulated in this Amendment. Task I included the process evaluation that consisted of conducting a sampling program for calculating mass balance and removal efficiencies for each size of primary clarifier and type of primary influent wastewater., Performance evaluation under different, flow conditions and/or ferric i I : sulfate addition was included' depending on, plant conditi ons. Task 11 consisted of conducting a bench scale study for L-CEPT TM. The L-CEPT TM is a process in which coagulant chemicals are added at low dosage prior to the primary clarifiers to enhance the performance of settling during primary treatment. 'Task III includes the following additional tests requested by the City- (a) Subtask 1111-A, the additional field and bench-scale tests requested by the City to duplicate work under Tasks, I and 11 for one (1) week, and (b) Subtask 1111-13, the technical assistance, in SaIsnes pilot test conducted by the City for four (4) weeks.
