SECOND RENEWAL TO CITY SEC TA Y
CONTRACT NO. 40126
WHEREAS, on April 13, 2010, the City of Fort Worth ("City") City Council authorized a
contract with Ace Pipe Cleaning, Inc. `Contractor"), (City Secretary Contract No. 4 126) (M&C
C 24175, aril 13, 2 1 (the "Contract") for the Intercepter Condition Assessment Program
Contract 2 Large Diameter Sanitary Sewer Cleaning; and
WHEREAS the Contract may be renewed up to three tines at the same terms, conditions,
and snit prices as originally bid- and
WHEREAS, the Contract was renewed on July 10, 2012 (M&C C-25706, CS# 40126-RI) in
the amount of$308,000.00; and
WHEREAS, the Parties desire to enter into this second renewal of the contract; and
WHEREAS, ire order to retcct the public's funds, the contractor will be bound to the unit.

NOW, THEREFORE, the Parties, hereby agree as follows:

to exceed 365 calendar days following the data of -the Notice to Proceed or
explenditure of the amount of this renewal, whichever should occur later.

awarded, shall remain in effect for the duration of the Contract, as renewed.
C. Task orders will continue, to be issued and remain contingent upon the availability of
finds and the availability of the contractor.

full farce and effect, are binding on the Parties and are hereby ratified by the Parties.

RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the City Council authorize execution of the second renewal of an annual contract
with Ace Pipe Cleaning, Inc., in the amount of$305,308.00 for the Interceptor Condition Assessment
Program Contract 2 - Large Diameter Sanitary Sewer Cleaning.
DISCUSSIONI:
On April 13, 2010, (M&C C-24175)the City Council authorized a contract in the amount of$615,,92,5.010
with Ace Pipe Cleaning, Inc., for Interceptor Condition Assessment Program Contract 2-Larger Diameter
Sanitary Sewer Cleaning. The contract contains three one-year renewal options. The purpose,of this
Mayor and Council Communication is to exercise,the second one-year renewal option. All terms,
conditions,, and unit prices contained in the contract remain in full force and effect.
The Interceptor Condition Assessment Program, (ICAO'') Contract 2 includes the cleaning of large,diameter
sanitary sewers as identified by ICAP Contract, 1.
ICAP Contract 2 - Large Diameter,Sanitary Sewer Cleaning is mandated by the Texas Commission on
Environmental Quality (TCEQ),,,, Sanitary Sewer Overflow Initiative (SSO11). In addition to being any SS,01
regulatory requirement, the ICAP, program is a major component of the Water Department's Wastewater
Master Plan to restore and maintain capacity within the wastewater collection system and to facilitate short
and long term CIF" recommendat,ioln.
Ace Pipe Cleaning, Inc., is in compliance with the City's, M/WBE Ordinance by committing to 30 percent
M/WBE participation. The City's goal on this project is 18 percent.
This project is, located citywide and affects ALL COUNCIL DISTRICTS.
FISCAL INFORMATION CERTIFIICATION:
The Finance Management Services Director certifies that funds are available in the current operating
budget, as appropriated, of the Water andl Sewer Fund.
