HomeMy WebLinkAboutContract 55953-A1 CSC No.55953-A1 AMENDMENT No. 1 TO CITY SECRETARY CONTRACT No. 55953 WHEREAS, the City of Fort Worth (CITY) and TranSystems Corporation Consultants, (ENGINEER) made and entered into City Secretary Contract No . 55953, (the CONTRACT) which was authorized by M&C 21-0328 on the 7th day of May, 2021 in the amount of $1, 247, 299 . 00; and WHEREAS, the CONTRACT involves engineering services for the following project : Trinity River Vision-Central City Flood Control Drainage Projects, CPN 103260, 103261 , 103262, 103263, and 103264; and WHEREAS, it has become necessary to execute Amendment No . 1 to the CONTRACT to include an increased scope of work and revised fee. NOW THEREFORE, CITY and ENGINEER, acting herein by and through their duly authorized representatives, enter into the following agreement, which amends the CONTRACT : 1 . Article I of the CONTRACT is amended to include the additional engineering services specified in proposal attached hereto and incorporated herein which will add the project FWCC Cemetery Bypass Outfall CPN 103667 . The cost to City for the additional design services to be performed by Engineer totals $44,160. 00. (See Attached Funding Breakdown Sheet, Page -4-) 2 . Article II of the CONTRACT is amended to provide for an increase in the fee to be paid to Engineer for all work and services performed under the Contract, as amended, so that the total fee paid by the City for all work and services shall be an amount of $1 ,291,459. 00. 3 . All other provisions of the Contract, which are not expressly amended herein, shall remain in full force and effect . EXECUTED and EFFECTIVE as of the date subscribed by the City' s designated Assistant City Manager. These scope and budget modifications are needed to facilitate the redesign of the Cemetery Bypass Outfall location based on current direction on site specific elements. Below is a summary of each contract and amendment. Summary of the Contract and Amendments Original Contract $ 1,247,299.00 Amendment 1. $ 44,160.00 Contract Total $ 1,291,459.00 The project specific scope changes/additions are listed below. Cemetery Bypass Outfall • Modify 100%designs to lower profiles to submerge outfall in proposed by-pass channel • Re-design the sluice gate structure to accommodate the profile revisions. • Re-submit a 60%,90%and 100%to the project partners for review and comment. This above scope will be covered with Amendment 1. The Level of Effort Spreadsheet is attached. Assumptions/Additional Scope TranSystems previous Central City Contract(CPN 00969) has approximately$13,000.00 in design fee remaining dedicated to the Cemetery Bypass Outfall project. TranSystems is assuming that this remaining contract value will still be utilized for the following: • USACE updates to specifications. • Updates to plans due to updated design standards and specifications. TranSystems is utilizing this previously allocated fee and the above Amendment 1 amount to finalize the revised design for Cemetery Bypass Outfall.
