AMENDMENT No . 2
TO CITY SECRETARY CONTRACT
WRF�. ,FAS, the City of Fort Worth (CITY) and Burgess and
Niple, Inc. , (ENGINEER) made and entered into City Secretary
Contract No. 49697 , (the CONTRACT) which was authorized by M&C
C-28352 on the 29th day of August, 2017 in the amount of
$547 , 648 . 00; and
W SFAS, the CONTRACT was subsequently revised by
Amendment No. l in the amount of $26,000 . 00 which was
administratively authorized on October 14 , 2019; and
W SFAS, the CONTRACT involves engineering services for
the following project:
Lake Worth Water and Sewer Improvements located in South
Lake Worth, Diamond Hill Jarvis and Far Greater Northside
Historical Neighborhoods; and
WIMEi .RFAS, it has become necessary to execute Amendment
No. 2 to the CONTRACT to include an increased scope of work and
revised fee .
NOW7`RFRFFORE, CITY and ENGINEER, acting herein by and
through their duly authorized representatives , enter into the
following agreement, which amends the CONTRACT:

Article I of the CONTRACT is amended to include the
additional engineering services specified in a proposal dated
July 26, 2022 a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated
herein. The cost to City for the additional design services to
be performed by Engineer totals $10 ,800 . 00 (56002-0700430) .
2 .
Article II of the CONTRACT is amended to provide for an
increase in the fee to be paid to Engineer for all work and
services performed under the Contract, as amended, so that the
total fee paid by the City for all work and services shall be
an amount of $584 ,448 . 00 . OFFICIAL RECORD

LAKE WORTH WATER AND SANITARY SEWER IMPROVEMENTS

Proposed Amendment No. 2
Mr. Norwood:
This letter is our formal request for a Scope of Work Revision for engineering services.
Justification
The City has requested that Burgess & Niple (ENGINEER) add additional paving improvements for three
streets to the project. Johns Way, Crown Road, and West Circle Ridge Drive from Skyline Drive to Circle
Ridge Drive shall be repaved using the pulverization and overlay method and added to the current plan set.
Changes to the project Scope of Work is as follows:
ENGINEER will provide new paving key maps for all three streets. ENGINEER will show the paving
improvements for Johns Way and Crown Road on the utility plan sheets of those streets. For West Circle
Ridge Drive, ENGINEER will provide plan and profile sheets showing the demolition of the existing curb
and gutter and pavement as well as showing the cement modification of the subgrade, pulverization and
overlay of the asphalt street, and new curb and gutter. The total length of this work in West Circle Ridge
Drive is approximately 1,550 LF. ENGINEER will show the proposed profiles of the street centerline crown
and the left and right tops of curb as necessary for the construction of the work. Driveways will be shown
to be reconstructed to the back of curb without modification of the existing grades or widths. No additional
rights of entry, easements, topographic surveying, or subsurface utility engineering will be provided. The
scope of work will not include driveway slopes, street cross-sections, retaining wall design, hydraulic
calculations, or stormwater design.
The construction of these paving improvements is estimated to cost $1,151,236. See the attached Opinion
of Probable Construction Cost. The plans and specifications will be incorporated into the current set of
B&N.

plans and specifications for Part 2 of the Lake Worth Water and Sanitary Sewer Improvements Project,
CPN 100962.
Based upon this scope of work, the additional design cost proposed for Amendment No. 2 is the lump sum
$10,800.00. This includes all labor and expenses to perform the work. The work will be completed by July
20, 2022. See the attached Level of Effort spreadsheet.
