RENEWAL 2 AND AMENDMENT 1 TO CITY OF FORT WORTH CONTRACT 54284
BETWEEN THE CITY OF FORT WORTH AND FIKES HOLDINGS INC.
This Contract Renewal and Amendment (the "Renewal and Amendment") is made and entered
into by and between the City of Fort Worth, a home-rule municipality of the State of Texas (the
"City"), acting by and through Dana Burglidoff, its duly authorized Assistant City Manager, and
Fikes Holdings, Inc.,("Vendor")a Texas home ruled corporation. Each party shall be individually
referred to herein as Party and collectively as Parties.
RECITALS
WHEREAS, the City entered into an Agreement with Vendor to provide services more
specifically described in the agreement, City Secretary Contract No. 54284, (the "Agreement");
WHEREAS, at the expiration of the Agreement's original term, the Parties exercised the
first renewal option to renew the Agreement for an additional year("First Renewal Term");
WHEREAS, this Renewal and Amendment will amend and replace Exhibit B and renew
the Agreement for an additional one-year term.
NOW THEREFORE City and Vendor do hereby agree to the following:
I.
AMENDMENT TO AGREEMENT
Exhibit "B" - Price Schedule attached to the Agreement is hereby amended and replaced in
its entirety with the attached Exhibit B.
II.
RENEWAL OF AGREEMENT
The Agreement, as amended, is hereby renewed and extended for a renewal term
commencing on October 1, 2022, and ending on September 30, 2023,unless terminated earlier in
accordance with the Agreement.
III.
This amendment and renewal is effective upon the expiration of the First Renewal Term,
regardless of the date of execution of this document.

All terms and conditions of the Agreement not amended herein remain unaffected and in
full force and effect, are binding on the Parties and are hereby ratified by the Parties. Capitalized
terms not defined herein shall have the meanings assigned to their in the Agreement.

Fikes Services would like to renew the contract for the city of Fort Worth. We
have worked with the city since 1995 and we would like to continue the relationship long
into the fiiture. We will always work to control our costs without compromising the
quality of the product.
I would like to propose a price change for our contract. We have not increased our
prices since 2019 and our costs have steadily risen since that time. These costs include;
our fragrance oil, Labor costs including wages and workmen's compensation, liability
and medical insurance costs. I would like to propose an increase to the current pricing
from $5.00 per unit to $6.00 per unit.
Our aerosol is made to our standards, with greater fragrance oil than any in the
market. We also do not use Butane or propane as a propellant. I would like to raise this
price to $12.50 per unit. The non-battery unit is no longer supported since its
performance was not as successful as our other products.
The above rates are still the most favorable rates we have and we sincerely want
to work with you and the City of Fort Worth. Please let me know your thoughts at your
earliest convenience. I will follow-up this proposal with a call to make sure you have all
the information you need to approve this new contract.
