HomeMy WebLinkAboutContract 58248-A1 CSC No. 58248-Al AMENDMENT NO. 1 TO CITY OF FORT WORTH CONTRACT No. 58248 This Amendment is entered into by and between the City of Fort Worth (hereafter "City"), a home rule municipality, with its principal place of business at 200 Texas Street, Fort Worth, Texas, and ALLIANCE CHILD & FAMILY SOLUTIONS. ("Contractor"), City and Contractor may be referred to individually as a Party and collectively as the Parties. WHEREAS, on October 14, 2022, the Parties entered into City Secretary Contract (CSC)No. 58248 to operate the Alliance Afterschool Program to support crime intervention in the community; WHEREAS, the Parties wish to amend the Agreement to update the "Program Funds" in the Recitals of the original Contract. NOW, THEREFORE, the Parties, acting herein by the through their duly authorized representatives, enter into the following agreement: 1. AMENDMENTS Attached hereto, is hereby incorporated into the Contract as if attached and incorporated into the same upon its execution: RECITALS WHEREAS, City has determined that Community-Based Programs are necessary to support crime prevention in City during Fiscal Year 2023 to meet one or more of the Crime Control and Prevention District ("CCPD") goals, which are (1) to support efforts to reduce violent crime and gang-related activities through enhanced enforcement activities and crime prevention programs, (2)to support efforts to increase the safety of residents and to decrease crime throughout Fort Worth neighborhoods, and (3) to support efforts to increase the safety of youth and reduce juvenile crime through crime prevention and intervention programs; and WHEREAS, Contractor has agreed to operate a Community-Based Program called "Alliance Afterschool" (Program), which will support the police department's crime prevention efforts throughout the community; and WHEREAS, City desires to enter into an agreement with Contractor to operate the Program; and WHEREAS, City, as consideration for the performance of the Contractor, has appropriated monies in the CCPD Budget in the amount of $49,640.40 ("Program Funds") to provide to Contractor on a reimbursable basis for the operation of the Program subject to and in accordance with this agreement. ALL OTHER TERMS SHALL REMAIN THE SAME All other provisions of the Agreement which are not expressly amended herein shall remain in full force and effect. 3. ELECTRONIC SIGNATURE This Amendment may be executed in multiple counterparts, each of which shall be an original and all of which shall constitute one and the same instrument.A facsimile copy or computer image, such as a PDF or tiff image, or a signature, shall be treated as and shall have the same effect as anoriginal.
