HomeMy WebLinkAboutContract 51936-A4CSC No. 51936-A4 AMENDMENT No . 4 TO CITY SECRETARY CONTRACT No. 51936 WHEREAS, the City of Fort Worth (CITY) and Halff Associates, Inc., (ENGINEER) made and entered into City Secretary Contract No. 51936, (the CONTRACT) which was authorized by City Council (M&C C- 28980) on the 15thday of January, 2019 in the amount of $148,000.00; and WHEREAS, the CONTRACT was subsequently revised by: Amendment Number 1 in the amount of $98,695.00 was administratively authorized on the loth day of July,2020, Amendment Number 2 in the amount of $480,685.00 was authorized by City Council (M&C 21-0061) on the 12th day of January,2021, Amendment Number 3 in the amount of $57,500.00 was administratively authorized on the llth day of October, 2022; and WHEREAS, the CONTRACT involves engineering services for the following project: River Trails Park to River Legacy Park Trail Project, CPN 101767; and WHEREAS, it has become necessary to execute Amendment Number 4 to the CONTRACT to include an increased scope of work and revised fee. NOW THEREFORE, CITY and ENGINEER, acting herein by and through their duly authorized representatives, enter into the following agreement, which amends the CONTRACT: 1. Article I of the CONTRACT is amended to include the additional engineering services specified in proposal attached hereto and incorporated herein. The cost to the CITY for the additional design services to be performed by ENGINEER totals $17,500.00. (See Attached Funding Breakdown Sheet, Page -4-) 2. Article II of the CONTRACT is amended to provide for an increase in the fee to be paid to ENGINEER for all work and services performed under the CONTRACT, as amended, so that the total fee paid by the CITY for all work and services shall be an amount of $802,380.00. Proposed additional services include the design of 3 sidewalk connections between the existing trail segment behind the residences along Stadium View Drive. Design of the new sidewalk connections will be in accordance with ADA requirements. This proposal includes the following: preparation of construction drawings for the three (3) sidewalk connections and providing the drawings to the City of Fort Worth. The design is limited to 3 locations of existing sidewalk that do not meet ADA requirements. We understand that sufficient topographic survey will be provided by others. The following is excluded for the sidewalk connections: 1) all survey - we understand sufficient survey will be provided by others, 2) bid books and/or project manuals, 3) construction cost opinions, and 4) other services not specifically identified in this proposal. Fees: The proposed basic fee (lump sum) for the services outlined above is $17,500.00. This fee includes the services described above. The schedule of proposed fees by task follows. Design of pedestrian facilities $17,500.00 Total $17,500.00 If this agreement is approved by the City, please prepare a contract amendment at your convenience.
