CITY OF FORT WORTH CONTRACT 40795
This Subscription Renewal Notice #7 is executed by and between the City of Fort Worth
(hereafter "City"), a home rule municipal corporation with its principal place of business at 200
Texas Street, Fort Worth, Texas, and NewsBank, Inc. (hereafter "Licensor"), a Delaware
corporation with its principal place of business at 5801 Pelican Bay Boulevard, Suite 600, Naples
Florida. City and Licensor are each individually referred to herein as a "Party" and collectively as
the "Parties."
WHEREAS, Parties have previously entered into a NewsBank License Agreement
known as Contract No. 40795 ("License"); and
WHEREAS, License was executed by the City on behalf of the Fort Worth Public
Library (the "Library") for access to certain products subscribed to by the Library from time to
time; and
WHEREAS, the original subscription term for access to news databases: America's
News, Genealogy Bank, and Historical Newspapers ("Subscription"); under License expired on
June 30, 2017; and
WHEREAS, License allows for initial subscriptions and renewal subscriptions so long
as the Parties mutually agree to same; and
WHEREAS, the Subscription was last renewed July 1, 2022 through June 30, 2023; and
WHEREAS, the City and Licensor now wish to renew the term of the Subscription for
continued access pursuant to the original License for an additional year, specifically from July 1,
2023, to June 30, 2024 using the attached NewsBank Renewal Notice # RTRN1091535
dated 01/30/2023 for pricing (Such Renewal Notice being a Subscription Form under License).
NOW, THEREFORE, Parties, acting herein by the through their duly authorized
representatives, enter into the following agreement to renew the Subscription:
1.
The term of the Subscription is hereby renewed for an additional year and will expire
June 30, 2024, unless terminated earlier in accordance with the Contract.
2.
The City will process payment for NewsBank Renewal Notice # RTRN1091535.
3.
The Subscription will continue to be governed by the terms and conditions of License.
4.
The terms and conditions of the original License remain unchanged.

license agreement are rejected and shall not become binding on NewsBank unless such document is signed by NewsBank and a signed copy
thereof is returned to the customer.
