RENEWAL 14 TO
CITY SECRETARY CONTRACT NO. 38013,
AN AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF FORT WORTH AND
FORT WORTH TEEN COURT, INC.
This fourteenth Renewal ("Renewal") is executed by and between the City of Fort Worth
("City"), a home -rule municipal corporation, and Fort Worth Teen Court, Inc., a non-profit
corporation ("FWTCI") organized and existing under the laws of the State of Texas. City and
FWTCI are each individually referred to herein as "Party" and collectively as "Parties."
WHEREAS, the Parties are currently operating under an agreement concerning the City's
Teen Court Program, the same being Fort Worth City Secretary Contract No. 38013
("Agreement");
WHEREAS, the Parties continue to desire to provide juveniles with an alternative to Fort
Worth Municipal Court through a Teen Court program, which assesses community service and
jury terms that allow juveniles to take responsibility for their own actions, benefitting the general
welfare of the people of City;
WHEREAS, the original term of the Agreement was for one year, expiring on September
30, 2009;
WHEREAS, the Agreement allows for automatic renewals to occur annually unless
terminated in accordance with the Agreement;
WHEREAS, the Parties now wish to memorialize that the Agreement has renewed
annually since October 1, 2009, for a total of thirteen times; and
WHEREAS, the Parties desire to renew the Agreement for the fourteenth renewal term,
effective beginning on October 1, 2022 and expiring on September 30, 2023.
NOW, THEREFORE, City and FWTCI acting herein by and through their duly
authorized representatives, enter into the following terms to renew the Agreement:
1.
PRIOR RENEWALS
1.1 Parties acknowledge that the Agreement has automatically renewed each year since the
expiration of the original term, on September 30, 2009, for a total of thirteen renewals.
1.2 Parties further acknowledge that they have continued to act in accordance with all the terms
of the Agreement.

RENEWAL OF AGREEMENT
The term of the Agreement is hereby renewed for an additional year, effective beginning
October 01, 2022, and expiring on September 30, 2023, unless terminated earlier in accordance
with the Agreement.

MISCELLANEOUS
3.1 All provisions of the Agreement that are not expressly amended herein remain in full force
and effect.
3.2 Any defined terms used but not defined herein have the meaning ascribed to them in the
Agreement.
3.3 This Renewal may be executed in multiple counterparts, each of which shall be an
original and all of which shall constitute one and the same instrument. A facsimile copy
or computer image, such as a PDF or tiff image, or a signature, shall be treated as and shall
have the same effect as anoriginal.
