Name and DescrjRLion of Project Southeast Landfill Expansion. On February 3, 1981 (M&C C-5519) , the City Council authorized the City Manager to contract with the firm of Freese- Nichols to perform an engineering study on the southeast landfill site. The study was completed in April 1981 and it was recommended in the report that additional land situated ir=ediately south of the present site be acquired for expansion. On May 11, 1982 (M&C C-6292) , the City Council authorized a contract for the design of facilities. These contracts were funded from general fund accounts subject to the successful passing of proposition No. 3 in the May 22, 1.982 Bond Issue.
