AMENDMENT No. 8 TO CITY SECRETARY CONTRACT WHEREAS, the City of Fort Worth (CITY) and TranSystems Corporation d/b/a TranSystems Corporation Consultants, (ENGINEER) made and entered into City Secretary Contract No. 27574, (the CONTRACT) which was authorized by M&C C-18999 on the 19th day of March, 2002 in the amount of $379,195 . 00; and WHEREAS, the CONTRACT was subsequently revised by: Amendment Number 1 in the amount of $51,600.00 which was authorized by M&C C-19500 on March 26, 2003, Amendment Number 2 in the amount of $24,820.00 which was administratively authorized on November 17, 2005, Amendment Number 3 in the amount of $145,323.00 which was authorized by M&C C-21414 on May 3, 2006, Amendment Number 4 in the amount of $94,205.00 which was authorized by M&C C-21944 on April 3, 2007, Amendment Number 5 in the amount of $35,200 .00 which was authorized by M&C C-22372 on October 8, 2007, Amendment Number 6 in the amount of $15, 990.00 which was administratively authorized on July 7, 2010, Amendment Number 7 in the amount of $33,995. 00 which was administratively authorized on January 28, 2011; and WHEREAS, the CONTRACT involves engineering services for the following project: Trinity Boulevard Water Main Extension from Greenbelt Road to State Highway 360; and WHEREAS, it has become necessary to execute Amendment No. 8 to the CONTRACT to include an increased scope of work and revised fee. NOW THEREFORE, CITY and ENGINEER, acting herein by and through their duly authorized representatives, enter into the following agreement, which amends the CONTRACT: 1 . Article I of the CONTRACT is amended to include the additional engineering services specified in a proposal dated March 21, 2012 , a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein. Article II of the CONTRACT is amended to provide for an increase in the fee to be paid to Engineer for all work and services performed under the Contract, as amended, so that the total fee paid by the City for all work and services shall be an amount of $807, 072 . 00 . 3 . Per the request of the Water Department,this amendment revises the previously approved 36"water main design plans and the relocation of the M-398. Specifically,this amendment includes water line plan profile modificafions to previously bid plans,sewer plan profiles,and coordination to re-start construction. The cost of services is listed below. Corresponding personnel and hourly charges for the specific tasks are attached. DESIGN A. Coordination 1. City of Grand Prairie meter station and pipe agreements $ 548 This includes assisting the City of Fort Worth with a Meter Station vault usage agreement,and the transfer of the Grand Prairie 24'water line and associated easement. 2. TXDOT Utility Construction Permit $ 548 This includes updating the permit and coordinating the relocation of a valve along FM 157 near Trinity Blvd. 3. Water Line Design Revisions for Sign Plans 1. Modify bid plans $ 3,060 Revisions include changing slopes,research and plan modification for new meter, modifying butterfly and meter vault for 24"meter station loop, reviewing customer connections along Trinity Blvd, and adding general comments and Trinity Blvd.and FM 157 valve replacement. 2. Detailed quantity breakout $ 411 3. Shop drawing review with City Project Manager $ 548 4. Construction Assistance—Assist answering City questions $ 928 since the project has been put on hold for an extended period. C. Sanitary Sewer Relocation 1. Relocation of the 350 linear feet of 18"sanitary sewer(M-398R)within $ 5,418 the proposed Grand Prairie water meter facility. This includes one plan profile sheet, two standard detail sheets and Opinion of Construction Cost. 2. THE coordination-Provide exhibit, plans and assistance. $ 1,186 MISCELLANEOUS A.
