SECOND AMENDMENT AND FOURTH RENEWAL OF CITY SECRETARY
CONTRACT NO. 52877, A NON-EXCLUSIVE MOWING AND GROUNDS
MAINTENANCE SERVICES AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF FORT
WORTH AND CEDRIC CARSON
This SECOND AMENDMENT AND FOURTH RENEWAL OF CITY SECRETARY
CONTRACT NUMBER 52877 ("Second Amendment and Fourth Renewal") is made and entered
into by and between the CITY OF FORT WORTH ("City"), a home -rule municipal corporation
of the State of Texas, acting by and through its duly authorized Assistant City Manager, and
CEDRIC CARSON, an individual ("Contractor").
WHEREAS, the City and Contractor entered into a non-exclusive mowing and grounds
maintenance services agreement, City Secretary Contract (CSC) Number 52877 ("Agreement");
WHEREAS, the Agreement provides for a primary term of one year, with four (4)
subsequent one-year renewal options;
WHEREAS, the primary term expired on October 3, 2020;
WHEREAS, the City and Contractor exercised the First Renewal Option, which expired
on October 3, 2021, the same being CSC No. 52877-R1;
WHEREAS, the City and Contractor exercised the Second Renewal Option, which expired
on October 3, 2022, the same being CSC No. 52877-R2;
WHEREAS, the City and Contractor exercised the Third Renewal Option, which expires
on October 3, 2023, the same being CSC No. 52877-R2A1; The Amendment to the Agreement
included a 5.0% cost increase;
WHEREAS, City and Contractor desire to extend the Agreement for the fourth one-year
renewal option;
WHEREAS, Contractor requested a unit price increase of 5.0% for work that it performs
at certain locations throughout the City; and
NOW, THEREFORE, the City and Contractor agree to renew and amend the Agreement
for one additional year as follows:
I.
The City and Contractor agree to renew and amend the Agreement for the fourth renewal
term, effective beginning on October 4, 2023 and ending on October 3, 2024 ("Second Amendment
and Fourth Renewal").

II.
All unit prices in Exhibit B of the Agreement, including any previous On -Call amendments
if applicable, pertaining to grounds maintenance are hereby amended to increase the pricing by
5.0% for all locations set forth in ITB/RFP No. 19-0000011.
M.
1. All other terms and conditions of the Agreement remain in full force and effect
except as specifically set forth in this Second Amendment and Fourth Renewal.
2. All terms of this Second Amendment and Fourth Renewal that are capitalized but
not defined have the meanings assigned to them in the Agreement.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the parties hereto have executed this Second Amendment and
Fourth Renewal to be effective on October 4, 2023.
