JUSTIFICATION (REASONS) FOR CHANGE ORDER
(INCLUDING
Change Order No. 3 provides for the folllowing:
• Rehabilitation of existing manholes since the existing pipeline is being rehabilitated via CIPP and the manholes
are in good condition.
• Epoxy lining in existing manholes (250 mil Thickness).
• The deletion of pay item quantities that are no longer needed on the project.
Staff recommends the addition of 480 calendar days to the project for the additional work and delays resulting
from repeated failure during heavy rain events of a temporary creek crossing that required replacement. No
work could be done on the other side of the creek until the creek crossing was restored subsequent to the rin
events.
It is understood and agreed that the acceptance of this Change Order by the contractor constitutes an accord and satisfaction and represents payment
in full (both time and money) for all costs arising out of, or incidental to, the above Change Order.
