COUNTY OF TARRANT S
WHEREAS, the City of Fort Worth (City) and ARS Engineers,
Inc. , (Engineer) made and entered into City Secretary Contract No.
38654, (the Contract) which was authorized by the City Council by
M&C C-23510 on the 12th day of May 2009; and
WHEREAS, the Contract involves engineering services for the
following project:
Street Reconstruction, Water & Sanitary Sewer Replacement on Belle
Place, Dorothy Lane, Western Avenue, Sutter Street, 2008 CIP
Contract 7A, DOE 6178, Project No. 01270
WHEREAS, it has become necessary to execute Amendment No. 2
to said Contract to include an increased scope of work and revised
maximum fee;
NOW THEREFORE, City and Engineer, acting herein by and
through their duly authorized representatives, enter into the
following agreement which amends the Contract:
1.
Article I of the Contract is amended to include the
additional engineering services specified in a proposal letter
dated October 7, 2010, a copy of which is attached hereto and
incorporated herein. The cost to City for the additional design
services to be performed by Engineer total $14,790.
2.
Article II of the Contract is amended to provide for an
increase in the maximum fee to be paid to Engineer for all work
and services performed under the Contract, as amended, so that the
total fee paid by the City for all work and services shall not
exceed the sum of $223,210.

All other provisions of the Contract which are not expressly amended
herein shall remain in full force and effect.

Belle Place, Dorothy Lane,Western Avenue, Sutter Street
2008 CIP, Contract 7A, DOE 6178,Project No. 01270
Dear Mr. Sahu:
During the 60%review Water Department requested that we replace water line on Harley
Avenue between Sutter Street and the west dead-end of Harley Avenue (1501f). Also
the request included re-design of water line on Belle Place due to existing pressure plane
boundary. Additionally Water Department requested us to replace sanitary sewer lateral
L-1530 between Sta. 12+00 to Sta. 15+51,which equals to 351 If; and main M-193
between Sta. 13+98 to Sta. 17-18E which equals to 3201f. We request that our contract
be amended to include above said items. The following are the additional scope items
broken down by tasks:
Tasks
1. Topographic survey of Harley Avenue(1501f)
2. Topographic survey of alleys located between Washburn Avenue and Harley
Avenue, and Harley Ave. and Lafayette Avenue(671 If)
3. Water main design on Harley Avenue(1501f)
4. Re-design of water main on Belle Place due to existing pressure plane boundary
5. Sanitary sewer line design of additional 671 linear feet
In accordance with our contract,Article V, Section K of the STANDARD
AGREEMENT FOR ENGINEERING SERVICES, ARS Engineers, Inc. requests an
equitable adjustment to our contract to account for the additional cost incurred to perform
additional services to the City.

The proposed man hour breakdown for the additional services is attached. The proposed
fee of$14,790 which also includes$2,000 for surveying which was determined based on
the time estimated to complete the task at the hourly rates outlined in Exhibit B-2,
STANDARD AGREEMENT FOR ENGINEERING SERVICES.
