HomeMy WebLinkAboutContract 39764-A2 AMENDMENT NO.2 STATE OF TEXAS S CITY SECRETARY CONTRACT NO. 3q-A tv 4 -R2 COUNTY OF TARRANT S WHEREAS, the City of Fort Worth (City) and Graham Associates, Inc. , (Engineer) made and entered into City Secretary Contract No. 39764, (the Contract) which was authorized by the City Council by M&C C-24032 on the 26th day of January 2010; and WHEREAS, the CONTRACT was subsequently revised by: Amendment Number 1 in the amount of $28,100 .00 administratively authorized by the City on October 4, 2011; and WHEREAS, the Contract involves engineering services for the following project: Hulen Street from McPherson Blvd. to West Cleburne Road, Project No. 01365 . WHEREAS, it has become necessary to execute Amendment No.2 to said Contract to include an increased scope of work and revised fee; NOW THEREFORE, City and Engineer, acting herein by and through their duly authorized representatives, enter into the following agreement which amends the Contract: 1. Article I of the Contract is amended to include the additional engineering services specified in the proposal letter dated November 7, 2011, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein. The cost to City for the additional design services to be performed by Engineer totals $46,530 . 00 . 2. Article II of the Contract is amended to provide for an increase in the maximum fee to be paid to Engineer for all work and services performed under the Contract, as amended, so that the total fee paid by the City for all work and services shall not exceed the sum of $256, 038 . 00 . Senior Professional Engineer City of Fort Worth Transportation and Public Works Department 1000 Throckmorton Street Fort Worth, Texas 76102 RE: Hulen Street Amendment No.2 Dear Mr. Buckley: PART 1: CONSTRUCTION ADMINISTRATION Graham Associates, Inc. is requesting addition compensation for construction administration due to the fact that the project has increased in construction by 30%. PART 2: CONSTRUCTION MATERIALS AND TESTING Landtec Engineers and Terry Smith Inspecting and Testing (TSIT) will perform construction materials testing and inspection services on the project. PART 3: Additional construction surveying for whole project. COMPENSATION Graham Associates, Inc. was asking for total compensation of part 1 above for the sum of $5,500.00. Landtech Engineers was asking for total compensation of$17,750.00 for part 2. TSIT was asking for total compensation of$10,500.00 for part 2. Graham Associates, Inc. $105.00 for item 2(10%fee on M/WBE firms). Graham Associates, Inc. was asking for total compensation of$12,675.00 for part 3.
