Home My WebLink AboutContract 40243-A10 A" NO. 10 TO AGREEMENT FOR ARCHITECTURAL DESIGN' SERVICES RENOVATE and EXPAND the GENERAL TERMINAL BUILDING at MEACHAM INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT STATE OF TEXAS § § CITY SECRETARY CONTRACT NO. .q:L)Q�L3 -A I COUNTY OF TARRANT § WHEREAS, The City of Fort Worth and H'ahnfeld Hoffer Stanford (Architect,) made and entered into City Secretary Contract No. 40243 (The Contract) which was authorized by the City Council by M&C C-24215, the 11 th day of May, 2010; and Amendment Nos. 1 1 21 31 41 6 and 7 were ad rn in istratively executed in the amount of$26,850.:00 for additional topographic surveys, cost estimates and underground utilities survey; and Amendment No. 5 was approved' by M&C C-24980 on dune 14, 20111 to complete the design and provide construction administration services in the additional amount of $985,732.50 plus up to $63,680.00 in reimbursable expenses; and Amendment No. 8 was approved by M C-20111 on February 19, 20113 to redesign the Project's approved site and revise completed drawings in the additional amount of $85,505.0!0 plus up to $2,,3,65�.00 in reim�blursabile expenses; and Amendment No.9 was approved by M&C C-26504, on October 15, 2013 for additional redesign fees to accommodate a new FBO within the terminal building in the additional amount of $317,917.00 without additional reimbursable expenses; and WHEREAS, further amendment is necessary to incorporate additional requested exterior and interior changes to accommodate the new FBO; and NOW THEREFORE, City and Architect, acting herein by and through their duly authorized representatives, enter into the following agreement which amends the Contract: 1. Article 1.1, SECTION I —SERVICES OF THE ARCHITECT, a paragraph is added to read as follows: "Provide additional design service to further modify the Poject's currently approved site plan, floor plan and exterior elevation drawings in order to, incorporate additional changes requested for the new FBO's guidelines. The cost of' these additional services is $12,0,473.00 without additional reimbursable expense fees. The scope of services are described more fully in the Hahnfeld Hoffer Stanford's letters, dated January 16, 2014 subject.: Amendment Proposal for Additional Services— Building Exterior Redesign,, Meacham Airport Terminal Builld'ing Renovation — Phase 2 including this letter's attachments noted as Exhibits "A", which are all attached hereto, respectively, as Attachment"A and made a part of this Agreement." 2. DISCUSSION: On May 11, 2010, (M&C C-24215)the City Council authorized the execution of an Architectural Services Agreement with Hahnfeld, Hoffer and Stanford in the amount of$234,675.00 plus up to $13,200.00 in reimbursable expenses for a total contract amount of$247,875.00. The Agreement was for programming and schematic design to renovate and expand the Meacham Administration Building at Fort Worth Meacham International Airport. That Mayor and Council Communication (M&C) also authorized Transportation and Public Works Architectural Services project management expenses in the amount up to $50,000.00. The cost of this amendment, including reimbursable expenses, is in the amount up to $120,473.00 increasing the total project design cost to $2,025,398.00. The design for this project is expected to be completed by the end of July 2014 with construction of the renovation to begin in the fall of 2014. M1WBE office; Hahnfeld, Hoffer, and Stanford is in compliance with the city's M1WBE ordinance by committing to an additional four percent M1WBE participation on this Amendment 10.
