COUNTY OF TARRANT
WHEREAS, The City of Fort Worth and Elements of Architecture, Inc. (Architect) made and entered into
City Secretary Contract No. 45276 (The Contract) which was administratively executed in the amount of
$27,220,00(including not,to-exceed $600.00 in reimbursable expenses)
WHEREAS, further amendment is necessary to reimburse the Architect for professional services for the
pr9ject as part of the design services agreement; and
NOW THEREFORE, City and Architect, acting herein by and through their duly authorized
representatives, enter into the following agreement which amends the Contract:
1.
Article 11, SECTION I – SERVICES OF THE ARCHITECT, the following paragraph is added to read as
follows:
.Provide additional Schematic Design Services as required by the change of scope for the facility.
The scope of services is described in the Elements of Architecture, Inc. letters dated July 3, 2014,
subject: Proposal for A/E Additional Services® Revised, KXAS TV Studio, and dated July 3, 2014,
subject- Followup Documentation for Request for Additional Services, attached hereto as
Attachments "A' and made a part of this Agreement. This amendment increases the agreement
by$22,373.00(including not-to-exceed$2,500.00 in reimbursable expenses)."

Paragraph I of SECTION V-COMPENSATION TO ARCHITECT, is amended as follows:
"The total compensation for all of the assignments to be performed by Architect as described in
CHARACTER AND EXTENT of ENGINEER'S SERVICES hereof shall be a fixed fee of
$49,593.00(including not-to-exceed$3,100.00 in reimbursable expenses),"

All other provisions of this Contract which are not expressly amended herein shall remain in full force and
effect.

Re: Proposal for A/E Additional Services- Revised
KXAS TV Studio
Dear Dalton;
This letter is to request additional fees for the referenced project as defined in our meeting on June 20.
At that time, we were briefed on the new direction for this facility and reviewed scope of our services
anticipated to complete the Schematic Design Phase for this project. Note that the fee listed is in addition to
the fee previously submitted and approved under our current contract.
We have identified the following as addition to our original scope of services:
1. Reprogramming for new City Departments
2. Review and quantitative assessment of existing modular furniture to be utilized in proposed design.
3. Three additional programming meetings for the project.
4. Additional time for gathering drawings, logging and scanning
For the labor for additional services identified,we are requesting the following:
Architectural Services $16,123.00
MEP Engineering $ 3,750.00
Total Add Services Labor Fee $19,873.00
We anticipate that reimbursables for the project will be approximately$2,500.00.
Exclusions and Qualifications to This Proposal:
1. Services requested in addition to those specifically outlined in this proposal will be identified and a fee
proposal provided with approval required before continuing with those services.
2. Detailed design/selection of furniture and other equipment is not included in this proposal. We have
included time for doing a general layout of the furniture based on utilization of the existing. We have not
included any reconfiguration or assessment of the systems. Our cost estimate will not include any
modification that maybe required for the furniture.
DELIVERABLE
Deliverable for this project will be schematic plans and narrative and an opinion of probable construction costs.
PROJECT TEAM
MEP Engineering will be by Torres Engineering. All other services will be by Elements.
SCHEDULE
We will work with the city on the schedule of this project and provide a timeline as we begin our services.
