As long as it is broken down by running over it with a dozer a couple of times, it should be good. No need to grind it. The
asphalt binder breaks down pretty easily. We don't want large chunks. Probably 2" inch or smaller.

We may be talking about 1,000 cuyds. The asphalt is OK and I am pretty certain that the soil won't be any worse than
what we already have. The short answer is yes, we can use it.

CoFW is doing some pavement replacement at Will Rogers and Ronnie wanted me to ask you if we could use the
excavated material at the NSC—Field Ops Services Facility.
The area is approx. 140'x296'. They are removing the 2"asphalt and excavating an additional 6"for a total of 8". His
question was can we use all of the 8" if the asphalt is ground and milled fine enough? How would this be measured so
we know it is fine and acceptable? Your input and comments are appreciated.
