WHEREAS, the City of Fort Worth (City) and Wier & Associates, Inc .
Consulting Engineers, (the "Engineer") made and entered into City
Secretary Contract No. 26044 (the Contract) which was authorized by the
City Council by M&C C-18034 on the 30 day of May, 2000 ; and
WHEREAS, the Contract involves engineering services for the
following project :
Street reconstruction and sanitary sewer replacement on Saunders Road
from Marie Jones Road to East loop 820 Southbound Service Road.
WHEREAS, it has become necessary to execute Amendment No.4/ to said
Contract to include an increased scope of work and revised maximum fee;
"Design of additional Sanitary Sewer and Water Lines for Saunders Road"
NOW THEREFORE, City and Engineer, acting herein by and through their
duly authorized representatives, enter into the following agreement which
amends the Contract :
1.
Article I of the Contract is amended to include the additional
engineering services specified in a proposal letter dated December 12 ,
2003 , a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein. The
cost to City for the additional services to be performed by Engineer
total $18, 750 . 00 .

Article II of the Contract is amended to provide for an increase in
the maximum fee to be paid to Engineer for all work and services
performed under the Contract, as amended, so that the total fee paid by
the City for all work and services shall not exceed the sum of
$141, 962 . 00 .
3 .
All other provisions of the Contract which are not expressly amended
herein shall remain in full force and effect .

SOUTHBOUND SERVICE ROAD, DOE#2214, AMENDMENT #4
As requested by the Water Department, Wier& Associates, Inc. has submitted a
proposal to design sanitary sewer and water line to resolve conflict between sewer and
water services with proposed storm drain.
Wier& Associates. Inc. requested to perform these additional services for a fee not to
exceed $18,750.00 increasing the contract fee to $141,962.00
Staff considers this fee to be fair and scope of services proposed. Please authorize this
additional design by your signature on the attached Contract Amendment.

RE: W&A#98039- DESIGN FEES FOR ADDITIONAL WATER AND SEWER
LINES, SAUNDERS ROAD
Dear Fred:
In response to your request, we have evaluated the effort to design additional water
and sewer mains in Saunders Road so that service lines do not have to cross the
large storm drain main proposed in the center of the street.
It appears that there is minimal room to add the additional lines, due to the
requirement of 9 feet of horizontal separation. However, all lines should be in the
paved section of Saunders Road.
To include additional design of one 8" sewer main (profiled) and one 8" waterline (no
profile), we propose an increase in fee of$18,750,
Please advise of you require additional information.
