Home My WebLink AboutContract 25807 CITY SECRETARY CONTRACT NO. y �L fl AMENDMENT NO. 1 STATE OF TEXAS 8 CITY SECRETARY CONTRACT NO. 25161 (No M&C Needed) COUNTY OF TARRANT b WHEREAS, the City of Fort Worth (City) and Turner, Collie & Braden, Inc., (Engineer) made and entered into City Secretary Contract No. 25161, (the Contract) which was authorized by the City Council by M&C C-17568 on the 3"day of August, 1999; and WHEREAS, the Contract involves engineering services for the following project: Engineering services for the extension of Meacham Boulevard from Gold Spike Drive to North Main Street; and WHEREAS, it has become necessary to execute Amendment No. 1 to said Contract to include an increased scope of work and revised maximum fee. NOW THEREFORE, City and Engineer, acting herein by and through their duly authorized representatives, enter into the following agreement which amends the Contract: 1. Article I of the Contract is amended to include the additional engineering services specified in a proposal letter dated April 6, 2000, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein. The cost to City for the additional design services to be performed by Engineer total $5,000.00. 2. Article II of the Contract is amended to provide for an increase in the maximum fee to be paid to Engineer for all work and services performed under the Contract, as amended, so that the total fee paid by the City for all work and services shall not exceed the sum of$421,994.00. TC&B was requested to prepare relocation plans for water and sanitary sewer lines which are in conflict with the proposed Meacham Blvd. Extension (see attached Exhibit). The following items are included. • Preparation of plan &profile sheet for the sanitary sewer relocation. • Preparation of plan sheet for the waterline relocation. • Quantity take-off and construction cost estimate. Bidding documents will not be prepared. It is assumed that City forces will do the relocation work. The estimated fee for this additional design work is $5,000. (TCB) for the relocation of a 12- inch water line and 8-inch sanitary sewer line that is necessary due to the Meacham Boulevard Extension from Gold Spike Drive to North Main Street. The construction cost estimate to relocate the 12-inch water line is $64,055 and the cost estimate to relocate the 8-inch sanitary sewer line is $41,049. The total construction cost estimate is $105,104. The engineering consultant fee to produce the water and sewer relocation plans is $5,000. 1 am requesting the Water Department pay for the $5,000 engineering consultant fee and $105,104 construction cost for the water and sewer line relocation.
