(ENGINEER) made and entered into City Secretary Contract No.46501, (the CONTRACT) which was authorized by M&C C-27193 on the 17th day of February, 2015 in the amount of $188,123 .00; and WHEREAS, the CONTRACT was subsequently revised by: Amendment Number 1 in the amount $19, 660 . 00 which was administrative authorized April 6, 2015; and WHEREAS, the contract involves engineering services for the following project: Water and Sanitary Sewer Replacement Contract 2015, WSM-D; and WHEREAS, it has become necessary to execute Amendment No. 2 to the CONTRACT to include an increased scope of work and revised fee. NOW THEREFORE, CITY and ENGINEER, acting herein by and through their duly authorized representatives, enter into the following agreement, which amends the CONTRACT: 1. Article I of the CONTRACT is amended to include the additional engineering services specified in a proposal April 20, 2015, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein. The cost to City for the additional design services to be performed by Engineer totals $40,950 .00 . 2 . M M M Article II of the CONTRACT is amended to provide for an M increase in the fee to be paid to Engineer for all work and 0 services performed under the Contract, as amended, so that the 1 total fee paid by the City for all work and services shall be an 1 � amount of $248,733 .00 . Justification The City has requested that Burgess & Niple extend the water and sewer rehabilitation work within S. Edgewood Terrace from Garden Lane to Eastland Street and add this to the current City Project referenced above. See the attached project location map. Changes to the project Scope of Work is as follows: 1) Burgess & Niple will design the rehabilitation of the 8" water line in S. Edgewood Terrace from Garden Lane to Quails Lane. 2) Burgess & Niple will design the rehabilitation of the 16" water line in S. Edgewood Terrace from Quails Lane to Eastland Street. 3) Burgess & Niple will design the rehabilitation of the 8" sanitary sewer line in S. Edgewood Terrace from Garden Lane to Eastland Street. These water and sewer line rehabilitations will be incorporated into the current set of plans and specifications. Based upon this scope of work, the additional design cost proposed for Amendment No. 2 is $40,950.00. See the attached Level of Effort Spreadsheet.
