TO CITY SECRETARY CONTRACT
WHEREAS, the City of Fort Worth (CITY) and Khafra
Engineering Consultants, Inc. , (ENGINEER) made and entered into
City Secretary Contract No. 43991, (the CONTRACT) which was
authorized by M&C C-25911 on the 9t' day of October, 2012 in the
amount of $146,110 .00; and
WHEREAS , the CONTRACT was subsequently revised by Amendment
No. 1 in the amount $4,022. 00 which was administratively
authorized on the 12th day of April, 2013; and
WHEREAS, the CONTRACT involves engineering services for the
following project:
Sanitary Sewer Rehabilitation, Contract 87; and
WHEREAS, it has become necessary to execute Amendment No. 2
to the CONTRACT to include an increased scope of work and revised
fee.
NOW THEREFORE, CITY and ENGINEER, acting herein by and
through their duly authorized representatives, enter into the
following agreement, which amends the CONTRACT:

Article I of the CONTRACT is amended to include the
additional engineering services specified in a proposal dated
December 19 2014 , a copy of which is attached hereto and
incorporated herein. The cost to City for the additional design
services to be performed by Engineer totals $1 ,232 . 00 .

o Article II of the CONTRACT is amended to provide for an
n increase in the fee to be paid to Engineer for all work and
`< services performed under the Contract, as amended, so that the
00 total fee paid by the City for all work and services shall be an
o amount of $151,364 .00 .

All other provisions of the Contract, which are not expressly
amended herein, shall remain in full force and effect.

Re: Letter of Request for Amendment 2 to S.S. Rehabiliation Contract 87
Mr. Chaubey:
The additional work to be done under this amendment will cover the survey work for the
expansion of two temporary construction easements (TCE). This expansion will
increase the easement area on parcels 113 and 134 and create a new easement on
parcel 112. The reason for this change is as follows:
Initially we had four temporary right of entries (TROE) and four easements for the
installation of the two Tahoe Road lines. We eventually removed the TROE's after the
Right-of-Way and Easements department reviewed our initial package because of the
understanding that if a property had a TCE there wasn't a need for a TROE.
When you and I reviewed the TCE's together we discussed the need to extend the
existing easements out for the purpose of digging pits for pipe enlargement for the two
lines. At that point neither of us thought we would need easements to simply move
equipment across the property. That wasn't brought to our attention until after the land
agent began to ask if they were needed because we didn't have TROE's.
We ask that an amount of $1,232 be added to our original contract amount as noted
below:
