AMENDMENT NO. 2 TO CITY SECRETARY CONTRACT NO. 28857
CONTRACT FOR PROFESSIONAL SERVICES
This Agreement is entered into by and between the City of Fort Worth, a home
rule municipal corporation situated in Tarrant, Denton and Wise Counties, Texas,
hereinafter called "City," acting by and through Joe Paniagua, its duly authorized
Assistant City Manager, and Public Safety Consultants, Inc., d.b.a. PSCI, a
Washington corporation, hereinafter called "Contractor," acting by and through Dr.
Ralph loimo, its duly authorized President.
RECITALS
WHEREAS, the City and Contractor previously entered into City Secretary
Contract ("CSC") No. 28857 on July 8, 2003, an agreement in which Contractor is to
provide project management services for the implementation of a Records Management
System for the Fort Worth Police Department; and
WHEREAS, CSC No. 28857 was previously amended by CSC No. 29763 to
include "Phase II" for the Contractor to provide project management services for
Integration for the CourtView Records Management System for Municipal Court
Services;
WHEREAS, CSC No. 28857 expired on July 31, 2004;
WHEREAS, both parties have continued to operate under the terms and
conditions of CSC No. 28857, and both parties have received services and benefits
under the agreement; and
WHEREAS, it is the mutual desire of both parties to extend the term of CSC No.
28857.
NOW THEREFORE, CSC No. 28857 is hereby amended to read as follows:
Section 2.
c. Following receipt of an invoice documenting completed work, payment shall be
made to:

Section 3.
The term of CSC No. 28857 shall be extended upon full execution of this
agreement by both parties, and shall terminate upon completion of all services as set
forth in CSC No. 28857, unless terminated earlier in accordance with Section 5. The
term of CSC No. 29763 is not amended hereby.
All other provisions of CSC No. 28857 and CSC No. 29763 are not amended
hereby and remain in full force and effect.

Authorize Extension of City Secretary Contract 28857 with Public Safety Consultants, Inc. for
Completion of the Police Records Management System
RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the City Council approve an amendment to City Secretary Contract 28857 with
Public Safety Consultants, Inc., to extend their services until the completion of the Police Records
Management System.
DISCUSSION:
On July 8, 2003 (M&C P-9812) Council authorized a City Secretary Contract 28857 with Public Safety
Consultants, Inc. to provide program management services for the implementation of a Police Records
Management System. This contract has expired, however due to delays in the implementation of the
Records Management System, it is necessary to continue the program management services. Remaining
tasks include assistance in implementing the system and comprehensive system testing.
This amendment extends their services until the completion of the Records Management System project,
estimated to be no later than September 30, 2005. This extension of the contract does not increase the
compensation to Public Safety Consultants, Inc. to provide these services.
FISCAL INFORMATION/CERTIFICATION:
The Finance Director certifies that approval of this recommendation has no material effect on City funds.
