Home My WebLink AboutContract 27574-A6 AMENDMENT NO. 6 STATE OF TEXAS S CITY SECRETARY CONTRACT NO.Al5-7 (MSC Not Required) COUNTY OF TARRANT S WHEREAS, the City of Fort Worth (City) and TranSystems Corporation d/b/a TranSystems Corporation Consultants, (Engineer) made and entered into City Secretary Contract No. 27574, (the Contract) which was authorized by the City Council by MSC 18999 on the 19th day of March 2002 and subsequently revised by five previous amendments; and WHEREAS, the Contract involves engineering services for the following project: Trinity Boulevard Water Main Extension from Greenbelt Road to State Highway 360. WHEREAS, it has become necessary to execute Amendment No. 6 to said Contract to include an increased scope of work and revised maximum fee; NOW THEREFORE, City and Engineer, acting herein by and through their duly authorized representatives, enter into the following agreement which amends the Contract: 1. Article I of the Contract is amended to include the additional engineering services specified in a proposal letter dated June 11, 2010, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein. The cost to the City for the additional design services to be performed by Engineer total $15,990.00. 2. Article II of the Contract is amended to provide for an increase in the maximum fee to be paid to Engineer for all work and services performed under the Contract, as amended, so that the total fee paid by the City for all work and services shall not exceed the sum of $746,314.00 . Per the request of the Water Department,this amendment revises the previously approved 36"water main design plans and contract documents. Specifically,this amendment includes the provision of field investigation,survey,design and easements for the proposed 36"water main between stations 251+00 and 266+00. Realignment of the main is required to avoid conflict with future earthwork and structural components associated with a future roadway proposed by the current property owner, Huffines Communities. Specifically,the 36"water main is to be routed along the existing TRA waterline easement that runs within the Huffines property. The existing 24"TRA water line will be removed from the easement in advance of new main construction. These revisions are noted on the Exhibit A,attached. Coordination with the City of Fort Worth Real Property Department will be necessary to secure the easements for the main. Additional survey and engineering services are required for the relocation.
