Jones, Acting City Manager of the City of Fort Worth, Texas, for CONSTRUCTION OF FACTORY .PIACE STORj2 SE".'R, in accordance with the Plans and Specifications prepared by the Department of Public Works., will be - received at the office of the City Manager until 9:30 A.M., November 6, 1946, and then publicly opened and read aloud. Plans- and Specifications may- be procured at t he office of the Director of Public Vlorks, City Hall, Fort Worth, Texas, on and after October 28, 1946. A charge of $5,00 will be made for each set of Plans and Specifications, whic "I amount will be-refunded.upon the return of these Plans and Specifications in good condition, not later than thirty (30) days from date of receipt of bids. Specifications used in making a bid will be considered as returned.. Each Contractor desiring to submit a bid must submit a recent financial state- ment one week prior to the date on which bids are to be opened. Each bid must be accompanied by a certified or-cashier-s check drawn on a res- ponsible bank in the City of Fort North, Texas, or an approved B'idderis Bond, for the sum of five percent of the amount of bhe -Taxi w total bid as a guarantee that, if awarded the Contract, the Bidder u►ill promptly enter into a contract and execute a bond on the forms provided, as outlined in the Specifications. Certified checks must be made payable to E. S. Birdsong, City. Secretary-Treasurer of the City of Fort ti'dorth, Texas. A Performance Bond-in an amount of not less than one hundred (10016) percent of the contract price, conditioned upon the faithful performance of the contract and upon payment of all persons supplying labor or furnishings materials.,will be required. Attention is called to the fact that not less than the prevailing Wade Rates as established by the City of Fort Tlorth, Texas, and as hereinafter set forth-in the Specifications hereinbefore described and which are made a part hereof, must be paid on this Project. In case of ambiquity or lack of clearness in stating prices in the Proposal; the City reserves the right to adopt the most advantageous construction thereof, or to reject the Proposal. The City reserves the-right to reject any and /or all bids and /or waive any /or all formalities. No bid may be withdrawn within thirty (30) days after date on which bids are opened.
