ORDINANCE N0. ~~~
AN ORDINANCE VACATING, ABANDONING AND CLOSING AND
EXTINGUISHING EMERGENCY ACCESS AND UTILITY EASEMENTS AND
PUBLIC OPEN SPACE EASEMENTS LOCATED WITHIN THE WEDGEWOOD
ADDITION TO THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS; PROVIDING FOR
REVERSIOPI OF FEE IN SAID LAND; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES
IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH,
TEXAS:
SECTION 1.
THAT all emergency access and utility easements and all public
open space easements located within Lot 23, Block 53, Wedgewood
Addition, as recorded in Volume 388-180, Page 61, P.R.T.C.T., and
as more specifically described in attached Exhibit "A", attached
hereto and incorporated herein, be and the same are vacated,
abandoned and permanently closed and extinguished.
SECTION 2.
That the fee to the land in the above land in the above
described vacated emergency access and utility easements and public
open space easements is hereby released and shall revert to the
adjacent owner as provided by law, EXCEPT that easements are
retained for any and all existing and prospective utilities.
SECTION 3.
That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed.

That this ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and
effect from and after the date of its passage, and it is so
ordained.

EASEMENT: WEDGEWOOD ADDITION, BLOCK 53, LOT 23, WONDER DRIVE, EAST OF
WHITMAN AVENUE V-91-44
RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the City Council adopt the attached ordinance vacating all
emergency access and utility easements and public open space easements (4) within Lot
23, Block 53, Wedgewood Addition.
DISCUSSION:
All Church Home for Children, Inc., owner of the property, has requested that the City
Council vacate the emergency access, utility easements and public open space easements
located within this site. The site is a large single lot proposed for development as
the country club and community center for the Wedgewood Subdivision. The property has
remained vacant and undeveloped since the Wedgewood Subdivision was established. No
improvements have been made to the emergency access easements (private streets) or
utility facilities established within the lot. Reviewing City departments and private
utility companies have raised no objection to this request. A satisfactory replat has
been submitted.
This request is located in Council DISTRICT 9.
FISCAL INFORMATION/CERTIFICATION:
A one dollar fee satisfies the interest of the City of Fort Worth in this request.
