DISCUSSION: The last major update of Chapter 3 "Airports and Aircraft" was completed in 1991. Since that time the City Council Committee on Citizen Advisory Boards and Commissions has begun a review of individual boards. The Aviation Advisory Board was selected as the first entity for analysis. The Council committee recommendations for revision of the Aviation Advisory Board are contained in the attached ordinance. The attached ordinance removes the language "through the Director of Aviation". This will permit the Aviation Advisory Board to act in an advisory capacity to the City Manager and City Council on matters identified in Sections 3-20 and 3-24. The Aviation Advisory Board motioned "approved" with a vote of Yes-5 and No-0 at its November 19, 1992, meeting.
