Such intent was declared so as to negate any employee expectancy for promotion into the positions as they become vacant. There is currently one Fire Lieutenant vacancy in the Fire Department with no civil service eligibility list in effect for the position Deletion of the Lieutenant position will change the current authorized strength as follows: Current Authorized Staffing Staffing After Deletion Key Code Classification Total Key Code Classification Total Y03 Lieutenant 98 Y03 Lieutenant 97 FISCAL INFORMATION/CERTIFICATION: The 1992-93 Fire Department budget anticipated these changes, therefore, no additional costs or savings are realized by the deletion.
