No. 6975) - Ramon Guajardo, Housing & Human Services Director ( 5 Min.) * * * * * * * * * * * To add or make revisions, please call the City Manager's Office, 870-6143, before 3:00 P.M., Monday, October 15, 1984 The purpose of the Pre -Council Conference held prior to a regular City Council Meeting is to allow the Mayor and Councilmembers to discuss informally items on the agenda and to secure information from the City Manager and the staff. Although the meeting is open to the public, citizens are requested to reserve comments and questions for the subsequent Council meeting so they will be a part of the public record. Williams: What will $3 million invested in certificate deposits be amortized over 20 years? Bolen: Concerned that the City has some degree of control over how these facilities are utilized. Would like assurance that activities will benefit/support the Northside and the Stockyards. Indicated that all expenses incurred by the City should stop at the $3 million figure cited. Lancaster: Request that staff analyze the option of using 20% of Ad Valorem Tax and 20% of increased tax to determine the benefit to the City. Would like to know if a bond election will be held should the decision to issue certificates of obli- gation be accepted? RAM 3) Appointment to Fort Worth Human Relations Commission (I.R. DAI Councilman Lancaster would like a report on the capitalization and participants in the Stockyards renovation plan.
