ITEMS TO BE WITHDRAWN FROM THE CONSENT AGENDA Councilman Vance requested that M&C P- 1966 pages 4-6 be withdrawn. Councilman Bagsby requested that M&C C-9987 be withdrawn. 3. BOARDS/COMMISSIONS Councilman Vance appointed Mayor Bolen and Councilmen Garrison and Gilley to the Convention Bureau Election Committee. Councilman Lancaster appointed David Park to the Zoning Commission. Councilman Gilley appointed Elaine Petrus to the Park & Recreation Board. Councilman Zapata appointed Morrison G. Wong, Harrison Shannon, Teressa Carreon, Arturo Montoya, Clemente DeLaCruz, Willie Paul Johnson and Joceyan Wuester to the Human Relation Commission. Councilman Bagsby also appointed Hazel H ~ Peace to the Library Board and Gilbert Pedrozo to the Aviation Board. Councilman Lancaster appointed Jerry Moore as Municipal Court Judge. 4. COMMENTS AND REQUESTS M&C P-1966-Councilman Vance requested that the company providing the eq make a special effort to have the equipment and other material available Offl&\Al RE&ilRO &\ , SECRH ARY ipJtlen~OPTH, TEX. M&C C-9987-Councilman Bagsby asked if the Transportation Committee had been . . involved with this contract. (Mr. Harman indicated that it had not.) It was requested that contracts such as these be sent through the Transportation Committee. Z-86-124 -Denied without prejudice. Councilman Lancaster requested that a workshop on PO zoning be scheduled for Councils benefit. S. CITIZEN PRESENTATION Patrick Wyers, Robert Reid and C.B. Mauldin came before Council in effort to further their goal of a Tax Rollback Election. There concerns centered on the rate increase of 3.8/. and the excessive reserves that the City has. They propose that citizens are given a chance to vote on this matter. S.L. Gilliam came before the Council requesting aid from the City to clear trees and bushes in the rear of the 2000 block of East Myrtle. The over growth is a harboring place for dogs and other illegal activities. Ms. Gilliam asked that the City help on behalf of her neighborhood.
