ITEMS TO BE CONTINUED/WITHDRAWN M&C P-2227 -Additional Funds For Janitorial Services for the Real Property Department withdrawn by City Manager Douglas Harman Resolution establishing a Voter Registration Program was continued for one month. II. ITEMS TO BE WITHDRAWN FROM THE CONSENT AGENDA M&C C-10593 -Amendment To Engineering Agreement For Study Of Sanitary Sewer Main-211 Replacement (Everage, Smith, Farrington and Associates, Inc.) - withdrawn for discussion by Councilman Gilley. III. BOARD/COMMISSION CHANGES Pete Zepeda, Ronnie Gray, JoLene Johnston, Kay Cox, and Sue Sparvero were nominated for membership on the Private Industry Council. Verma Russell, Jocelyn Wuester, Mary Harwell Weathers, Willie Paul Johnson, and Ray H. Bell were reappointed to the Fort Worth Human Relations Commission. Dwaine A. Johnson was appointed to the City Zoning Commission. Council also reappointed Anne Cozart to the Aviation Advisory Board, Kay Dickson Farman to the Citizen's Cable Advisory Board, Melinda Crumley to the City Zoning Commission, Edmund W. Schenecker, II, to the Library Advisory Board. Wilma Philpott was appointed to the Charitable Solicitations Review Board. IV. COMMENTS AND REQUESTS Councilman Gilley asked for an explanation from staff concerning M&C C-10593 - Amendment to Engineering Agrement for Study of Sanitary Sewer Main -211 Replacement (Everage, Smith, Farrington and Associates, Inc. The M&C requests an additional $12,580 for the development of a trench safety system. The change is necessary for compliance with a recently-passed state law which requires a trench safety system to be included in the engineering design. Councilmen Garrison, Gilley, Lancaster, and Murrin expressed concern over the impact of the law on future construction projects. City Manager Douglas Harman indicated that Council will receive a staff report on trench safety sometime in the near future. • V. CITIZEN PRESENTATIONS A. Steve Swander appeared to request a change of date in the zoning appeal of the Ocean Club. City Attorney Wade Adkins suggested that Council defer discussion of the issue to executive session. B. Joe Perez appeared to speak concerning the proposed demolotion of a substandard house (M&C C-10600). Because the owner had requested a one-week delay due to family illness, Mr. Perez opted to wait a week to make his presentation.
