AL APPROPRIATION - ACQUISITION OF LAKE WORTH LEASEHOLD IMPROVEMENTS
It is recommended that the City Council:
1. Adopt the attached supplemental appropriation ordinance increasing the Water and
Sewer Operating Fund appropriation by $52,500.00 and decreasing the reserved,
Undesignated Retained Earnings of the Water and Wastewater Operating Fund by the
same amount, and
2. Authorize the City Manager to acquire the leasehold improvements located on Lot
5, Block 28, Lake Worth Leases, from Floyd E. Webb and wife, Doris C. Webb, for
$52,500.00.
DISCUSSION:
On March 4, 1981, M&C G-4890, the City Council approved the Lake Worth Land Use and
Management Plan as prepared by Carter & Burgess, Inc. The leases in Phase II of this
plan expired January 31, 1992. This lease is in that phase.
The check will be made payable to a designated title company.
This property was appraised by Paul Ondo, MAI.
This property is located in DISTRICT 7.
FISCAL INFORMATION/CERTIFICATION:
The Director of Fiscal Services certifies that, upon adoption of the supplemental
appropriations ordinance, funds required for this expenditure will be available in the
operating budget of the Water and Sewer Operating Fund.
