IS TO ALLOW THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL MEMBERS TO DISCUSS INFORMALLY ITEMS ON THE
AGENDA AND TO SECURE INFORMATION FROM THE CITY MANAGER AND THE STAFF. ALTHOUGH
THE MEETING IS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC, CITIZENS ARE REQUESTED TO RESERVE COMMENTS AND
QUESTIONS FOR THE SUBSEQUENT COUNCIL MEETING SO THEY WILL BE A PART OF THE PUBLIC

1 . REVISION OF PERSONNEL RULES FOR SOLID WASTE EMPLOYEES
A. SUMMARY
1 . Currently only observing 4 holidays.
2. Proposal to begin observing the 8 regular holidays and
eliminate the double-time pay for the next regular pick-up
following a holiday.
3. $77,000 savings.
B. COUNCIL RESPONSE/CONCERNS
1 . Zapata: Is it worth $77,000 to create more employee
discontent?
2. PROPOSED CONTRACT WITH HAHNFELD ASSOCIATES FOR SERVICES AT WILL
ROGERS
A. SUMMARY
1 . Study to determine what needs to be done to make facility
safe -- code search and extensive above ceiling search
needed.
B. COUNCIL RESPONSE/CONCERNS
1 . Make sure we aren't paying for something which was already
done.
2. Would like cost estimates for structural additions proposed
in earlier Hahnfeld study.

a. The three DFW bond ordinance items were withdrawn and will be
brought back at a later time.
2. BH-0036 and BH-0037 were denied pending changes to assessment
paving policy.
3. Chappell inquired about changes to taxicab ordinance.

$800 bill he doesn' t believe he should have to pay.
