City Manager, Douglas Harman, requested that M&C L-9184 be carried over for one
week.
2. ITEMS TO BE WITHDRAWN FROM THE CONSENT AGENDA

3. APPOINTMENTS TO BOARDS/COMMISSIONS

4. COMMENTS AND REQUESTS
Councilman Lancaster commented on the City being in the midst of a budgetary
cutback. Councilman Lancaster stated that he is aware that the City Manager is
developing a program to recommend cuts; however, he would like for the Audit
Committee to be responsible for cuts in the City Council budget.
City Manager Harman told Councilmembers that the Audit Committee would be
meeting with staff when the recommendations are made.
Councilman Williams told Councilmembers that he is aware that the Police
Department is exceeding its budget and was concerned about whether or not this
would continue.
City Manager Harman told Councilmembers that he does not believe that this will
continue. He further stated that the question which should be answered is what
Council's desires are via the Police Department's Program.
Councilman Garrison requested that his vote be shown as abstaining for M&C G-
7040.
S. CITIZENS PRESENTATION
Mr. Lon Burnam extended an invitation to the City Council to attend prayer
service relating to the construction of a power plant which has already been
responsible for the death of several people in the Soviet Union.
