ITEMS CONTINUED/WITHDRAWN Councilman Gilley requested that M&C G-6818 - appointments to the Historic and Cultural Board - be delayed for one week. 2. ITEMS TO BE WITHDRAWN FROM THE CONSENT AGENDA None 3. APPOINTMENTS TO BOARD/COMMISSION Mayor Bolen stated that Council needs all nominations and reappointments of Board and Commission Members before October 1. 4. COMMENTS AND REQUESTS M&C C-6815 - Revision of effective date for Water and Sewer Svstem Access Fee Implementation. Ms. Ben Ann Temayko, Mr. Michael Berry and Mr. David Nuell spoke as opponents of the revision, requesting that Council postpone the October 1 effective date. Councilman Gillev stated that there are two problems that need to be addressed: 1) requests by industrial developers and 2) requests by customers cities. Councilman Gilley requested that action be delayed for no later than February 1 , 1987. M&C C-6815 was delayed. M&C C-9866 - Award of Contract for Services-Fort Worth Improvement District No. 1. After considerable deliberation (Councilman Zapata) , the M&C was approved. City Manager, Doug Harman, assured Council that any subcontract would be brought back to them for their review. 5. CITIZEN PRESENTATION Mr. Calvin Dean spoke to Council with regards to a claim that he had filed against the City for damages that had been done to his automobile as a result of loo se rocks in the vicinity where one of the City' s employee was working. T � amount of damaged was at a cost of $307.34. Mr. Dean stated that he had atl9L" informed that the claim would not be paid by the City because: 1) no clai ever filed in the area and 2) the area was said to be free of rocks. Mr. D requested that his claim be reexamined by the City. Mr. Harman asked that Council allow more time for a more thorough examination so that factual consideration can be given. Mr. Harman requested 10 days for this delay. Mrs. Thompson addressed Council concerning the issues of property that was taken from her by the City and her automobile that was towed.
