Budget Study Session Council reviewed the list of additions and deletions to the budget. 2. Solid Waste Contract Provisions - Mr. L'1y Ford, Director of City Services and Mr. Ramon Guajardo, Assistant City Manager brought before Council two issues of concern regarding the contract for solid waste collection services. The issues dealt with successful bidders being able to complete the routes to be serviced in a given day by 5:00 p.m. and the adhering of successful bidders to a comparable prevailing wage rate. Councilman Zapata, Councilman Gilley as well as Mayor Bolen stated that if there is a need for garbage to be picked up and daylight still prevails then service should be continued. The Mavor and Council also stated that requiring service to be completed by 5:00 would present a difference in wage rates. Mr. Ford therefore recommended that the prevailing wages be taken out and that the 5:00 deadline be omitted. Recommendation was approved by Council. 3. Remaining items on the agenda were postponed.
