ORDINANCE N0. ~~
AN ORDINANCE VACATING, ABANDONING AND CLOSING AND EXTIN-
GUISHING A PORTION OF A UTILITY EASEMENT LOCATED WITHIN
THE COLONIAL HILLS ADDITION TO THE CITY OF FORT WORTH,
TEXAS; PROVIDING FOR REVERSION OF FEE IN SAID LAND;
REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PRO-
VIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
WORTH, TEXAS:
SECTION 1.
THAT the five (5) foot wide by one hundred ninety-two point
eighty-five (192.85) foot long portion of a utility easement
located along the northeast property line and along the east
property line to a point two (2) feet from the southeast corner
of Lot 5-D, Block 7, Colonial Hills Addition, as recorded in
Volume 388-27, Page 379, P.R.T.C.T., and as more specifically
described in attached Exhibit "A", attached hereto and incorpo-
rated herein, be and the same is vacated, abandoned and perma-
nently closed and extinguished.
SECTION 2.
That t~e fee to the land in the above described vacated por-
tion of a utility easement is hereby released and shall revert to
the adjacent owner as provided by law.
SECTION 3.
That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict here-
with are hereby repealed.

SECTION 4.
That this ordinance shall take effect and be in full force
and effect from and after the date of its passage, and it is so
ordained.

BJECT VACATION OF A UTILITY EASEMENT COLONIAL HILLS ADDITION, BLOCK 7, LOT 5-D,
2103 COLONIAL PARKWAY
RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the City Council adopt the attached Ordinance vacating all of
the 5 foot wide utility easement located along the northeast and east property line
except the south two feet of the easement in the southeast corner of the lot.
DISCUSSION:
Russell M. Haws, owner of the property, has requested the vacation of the easement due
to an encroachment of an existing struc ture within the easement so that title on the
property can be cleared. There are no utility facilities within this easement area.
Reviewing City departments and public utilities have raised no objections to the
vacation of this utility easement.
This property is located in COUNCIL DIS TRICT 9.
