A by the P,oard of Commissioners of the City of
Fort forth:
(a) The office of Assistant City Attorney of the City* of
Fort Worth is hereby created. It shall. be the duty of said officer
at all times to attend the sessions of the Cit;; Court and act as
public prosecutor of all cases therein, and in the event cases
are appealed therefrom to the County Court to represent the City
in that tribunal.
(b)He shal_i. prepare and mare out the forms of complaint
involving offenses against the laws of the City, and may administer
oaths to persons making anot subscribing said complai=nts.
(c) It shall be his further duty to handle and collect
delinquent taxes due and owing to the City of Fort Worth and en-
force collection of same, when necessary so to do, by means of suit
in the proper court; and he shall represent the City, of Fort Worth
in cases or suits that may be filed for or against it in the courts
of the Justice of the Peace in Tarrant County.
'' He shall, in the performance of his duties, be subject to
the direction of the City Attorney, when not otherwise instructed
by the Board of Commissioners, and shall render to the Cit=y Attor-
ney such assistance as may be required bar that officer, and shall
do and perform such other and further service as the Board of
Commissioners ma'TT direct from time to time.
Before entering upon the duties of his office said Assist
-ant City Attorney shall take and subscribe the oath of office
prescribed by the constitution of the State, a d� s4all a.1so give
a bond, with two or more good and suff!Vi ent stLrartle�V 4-aL le to
the City of Fort Worth, in the sum of
dollars, to be approved by the Board of Commissioners, conditioned
that he will well and faithfully and impartially discharge and
perform the duties incumbent upon him as such officer according
to the Constituion and laws of the State of Texas and the charter
and ordinances of the City of Fort Worth.
He shall receive as his full compensation for such services
the sura of one hundred dollars per month, until otherwise ordered
by the Board of Commissioners and shall hold office subject to the
pleasure of said Board. _
I hereby ertify that the above ordinance was duly presented and
unanimously passed by the Board of Commissioners at a session held
May 11th, 1907.
