ORDINANCE NO-1 ~~I
AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $700,000 00
TO THE GOLF COURSE FUND, GOLF COURSE
CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM, AND
DECREASING THE UNRESERVED, UNDESIG-
NATED RETAINED EARNINGS BY THE SAME
AMOUNT FOR THE PURPOSE OF FUNDING
RENOVATIONS TO THE MEADOWBROOK GOLF
COURSE CLUBHOUSE, PROVIDING FOR A
SEVERABILITY CLAUSE, MAKING THIS
ORDINANCE CUMULATIVE OF PRIOR
ORDINANCES AND REPEALING ALL PRIOR
ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH,
PROVIDING FOR ENGROSSMENT AND
ENROLLMENT, AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE
DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCII. OF THE
CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS
SECTION 1
That in addition to those amounts allocated to the various City
departments for the Fiscal Year 1990-91 and in the Budget of the
City Manager, there shall also be increased appropriations in the Golf
Course Fund, Golf Course Capital Improvement Program, in the
amount of $700,000 00, thereby decreasing the unreserved,
undesignated fund balance by the same amount, for the purpose of
funding renovations to the Meadowbrook Golf Course Clubhouse
SECTION 2.
Should any portion, section or part of a section of this ordinance be
declared invalid, inoperative or void for any reason by a court of
competent jurisdiction, such decision, opinion or judgement shall in
no way impair the remaining portions, sections, or parts of sections
of this ordinance, which said remaining provisions shall be and
remain in full force and effect.

SECTION 3
That this ordinance shall be cumulative of Ordinance No 10652 and
all other ordinances and appropriations amending the same except
in those instances where the provisions of this ordinance are in
direct conflict with such other ordinances and appropriations, in
which instance said conflicting provisions of said prior ordinances
and appropriations are hereby expressly repealed
SECTION 4
The City Secretary of the City of Fort Worth is hereby directed to
engross and enroll this ordinance by copying the caption and
effective date into the minutes of the City Council and by filing this
ordinance in the ordinance records of the City of Fort Worth
SECTION 5
This ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and effect from
and after the date of its passage, and it is so ordained.

SUBJECT CONTRACT WITH ARCHITECTURAL UTILITIES, INC. FOR RENOVATIONS TO MEADOWBROOK
GOLF COURSE CLUBHOUSE AND SUPPLEMENTAL APPROPRIATIONS ORDINANCE INCREASING
APPROPRIATIONS IN THE GOLF COURSE FUND
RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the City Council•
1. Adopt the attached Supplemental Appropriations Ordinance, increasing
appropriations in the Golf Course Fund by $700,000, and decreasing the Unreserved
Retained Earnings of the Golf Course Fund by the same amount, and
2. Authorize a transfer of funds in the amount of $700,000 from the Golf Course Fund
to the Park and Recreation Improvements Fund, and
3. Authorize the City Manager to execute a contract with Architectural Utilities,
Inc. in the amount of $324,000 for alterations and renovations to the Meadowbrook
Golf Course Clubhouse.

On May 8, 1990 (M&C C-12306), the City Council approved a contract with Nader Design
Group for the design of the Meadowbrook Golf Course Clu bhouse for a fee of $29,000.
Renovations and alterations of the existing building would include improved pro
shop/retail area, snack bar, dining area and related utilities

On August 22, 1991, bids were received after advertisem ent on August 1 and 8, 1991.

GOLF COURSE CLUBHOUSE AND SUPPLEMENTAL APPROPRIATIONS ORDINANCE INCREASING
APPROPRIATIONS IN THE GOLF COURSE FUND
The following list outlines work proposed under each Alternate Item:
Alternate No. 1 Two decorating landscape walls at the West entrance.
Alternate No. 2: Solar screen at the East facade of the building.
Alternate No. 3. Replacement of concrete sl ab on the East Terrace.
The low base bid, Alternate No. 2 and Alternate No. 3, totaling $324,000, by
Architectural Utilities, Inc., is acceptable to the Park and Recreation Department.
All work is to be completed within one hundred (100) ca lendar days. The lowest bidder,
Architectural Utilities, Inc., has complied with the City's policy for DBE
participants
The_ proposed supplemental appropriation of $700,000 would provide funding for the
following items:
Construction Contract $324,000
Administration, Inspection and
Construction Contingency 51,000
Fixtures, Furnishings and Appliances 125,000
Site and Cart Trail Improvements 200,000
$700,000
FISCAL INFORMATION/CERTIFICATION:
The Director of Fiscal Services certifies that funds required for this contract and
related expenses are available in the Retained Earnings of the Golf Course Fund.
