AN ORDINANCE AMEI$DING THE 1990 ASSESSMENT ROLL AND
ASSESSMIIIT ORDINANCE FOR FORT WORTH II~RPROVEL~NT
DISTRICT NO. 2; REDIICING THE ASSESSMENT AGAINST BLOCR
15, LOT 20 OF THE PARR GLEN ADDITION; AUTHORIZING A
REFUND OF OVERPAID ASSESSMENTS; DIRECTING THE CITY
SECRETARY TO ENGROSS AND ENROLL THIS ORDINANCE; AND
PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Fort Worth has
heretofore directed that certain improvements and/or services
(the "Improvements") be provided in the Fort Worth Improvement
District No. 2 (the °District°) during 1990; and
WHEREAS, the City Council held a special benefit hearing and
levied assessments against parcels of property in the District
and the owners thereof for a portion of the cost of such
Improvements during 1990-91, which assessments were levied by the
Council pursuant to the Public Improvement District Assessment
Act, V.T.C.A., Local Government Code, Section 372.001 et seq.;
and
WHEREAS, such assessments were levied by the City Council
through the adoption of an assessment roll and an assessment
ordinance; and
WHEREAS, the amount of such assessments was based on the
square footage of the parcels of property as determined by the
Tarrant Appraisal District on January 1, 1990; and
WHEREAS, the Tarrant Appraisal District has reduced the
square footage amount for Block 15, Lot 20, Park Glen Addition,
(Account No. 0622-19-39), which property is owned by David and
Margaret Schuman, and is located in the District; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to amend the assessment roll and
assessment ordinance which levied the 1990 assessments against
such property and the owners thereof to reflect the new square
footage established by the Tarrant Appraisal District and the
assessment based thereon;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS:
I.
That the assessment roll and ordinance which levied
assessments against parcels of property and the owners thereof on
behalf of Fort Worth Improvement District No. 2 during 1990 be
and is hereby amended by changing the assessment levied against
the following parcel of property and the owners thereof to read
as follows:

II.
That the amount of any previously paid 1990 assessment
against the respective parcel of property and the owners thereof
in excess of the amended assessment amount shall be refunded to
the property owner.
III.
That except as heretofore and hereby amended, the assessment
roll and assessment ordinance approved and adopted by the City
Council for Fort Worth Improvement District No. 2 during 1990
shall remain unchanged and shall continue in full force and
effect.
IV.
The City Secretary is hereby directed to engross and enroll
this ordinance by copying the caption of same in the Minute Book
of the City Council of Fort Worth, Texas, and by filing the
complete ordinance in the ordinance records of said City.
V.
This ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and
effect from and after the date of its passage, and it is so
ordained.

RECOMMENDATIONS:
It is recommended that the City Council:
1. Adopt the attached ordinance which amends the 1990 assessment roll for
Fort Worth Improvement District No. 2 by reducing the square footage of
Block 15, Lot 20 Park Glen Addition (Account #0622-19-39), as reported by
the Tarrant Appraisal District.
2. Authorize the Revenue Collections Division of the Finance Department to
refund $34.52 in overpaid assessments on Account #0622-19-39.
DISCUSSION:
On December 18, 1990, the City Council adopted M&C G-8974 which levied
$161,052.10 in 1990 assessments against property located in Public Improvement
District No. 2.
The Tarrant Appraisal District recently notified the City that the square footage
value for Block 15, Lot 20 of the Park Glen Addition, owned by David and Margaret
Schuman, was incorrect on the original assessment roll. Since the 1990
assessment roll for Fort Worth Improvement District No. 2 was based upon January
1, 1990 square footage values provided by TAD, the roll needs to be amended to
reflect the reduced size of Block 15, Lot 20.
Adoption of the attached ordinance would make the following amendment to the 1990
assessment roll for PID #2.
