ORDINANCE N0. ~~ ~~~
AN ORDINANCE VACATING, ABANDONING AND CLOSING AND EXTIN-
GUISHING A UTILITY EASEMENT LOCATED WITHIN THE RIDGLEA
NORTH ADDITION TO THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS; PRO-
VIDING FOR REVERSION OF FEE IN SAID LAND; REPEALING ALL
ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING AN EFFEC-
TIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
WORTH, TEXAS:
SECTION 1.
THAT the eight (8) foot wide by approximately one hundred
ten (110) foot long utility easement located between Lots 8 and
10, Block 1-A, Ridglea North Addition, as recorded in
Volume 1868, Page 398, P.R.T.C.T., and more specifically
described in attached Exhibit "A", attached hereto and incorpo-
rated herein be and the same is vacated, abandoned and perma-
nently closed and extinguished.
SECTION 2.
That the fee to the land in the above described vacated
utility easement is hereby released and shall revert to the adja-
cent owner as provided by law.
SECTION 3.
That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict here-
with are hereby repealed.
SECTION 4.
That this ordinance shall take effect and be in full force
and effect from and after the date of its passage, and it is so
ordained.

BEING a 0.0195 acre portion of lots 8, 10, and 11, Block 1-A
Ridglea North Addition, an addition to the City of Bedford, Tarrant
County, Texas, according to the plat recorded in Volume 1868, Page
398, Deed Records, Tarrant County, Texas, and being more
particularly described as follows:
THENCE at the southeast corner of Lot 9, Block 1-A, said Ridglea
North Addition, said point being in the west boundary line of said
Lot 10;
THENCE North 10° 36' 41" East, along the west boundary line of said
Lot 10, 7.46 feet;
THENCE South 21° 48' 00" East, a distance of 111.48 feet;
THENCE North 86° 09' 27" West, a distance of 5.31 feet;
THENCE South 23° 58' 00" West, a distance of 4.48 feet;
THENCE North 21° 48' 00" West. a distance of 107.60 feet, said
point being in the north right-of-way line of said Lot 8 and the
south boundary line of said Lot 9;
THENCE North 89° 52' 23" East, along the south boundary line of
said Lot 9, a distance of 4.30 feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING and
containing 0.0195 acres of land, more or less.

SUBJECT VACATION OF A UTILITY EASEMENT: RIDGLEA NORTH ADDITION, BLOCK 1-A, BETWEEN
LOTS 8 & 10 EAST LANE AT WEST FREEWAY I.H. #30 V-91-38
RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the City Council adopt the attached ordinance vacating an
approximately 110' long by 8' wide utility easement which is located between Lots 8 and
10, Block 1-A, Ridglea North Addition, as recorded in Volume 1868, Page 398,
P.R.T.C.T., as further presented on the attached map and described in Exhibit A.
DISCUSSION:
Ridglea Baptist Church, owner of all adjacent properties, has requested that the City
vacate the above-described utility easement. The easement does not contain any
utilities. The easement is being vacated for further development of the adjacent
property. Reviewing City departments and private utility companies have raised no
objections to this request. An acceptable replat has been submitted.
This request is located in Council District 3.
FISCAL INFORMATION/CERTIFICATION:
A one dollar fee satisfies the interest of the City in this property.
