SUBJECT VACATION OF A UTILITY EASEMENT: MEADOWS WEST ADDITION, BLOCK 25, LOT A
BELLAIRE DRIVE SOUTH AT MEADOWS WEST DRIVE
RECOMMENDATION.
It is recommended that the City Council adopt an ordinance vacating a portion of two
15' wide utility easements.
DISCUSSION:
Block 25 Meadows West Addition, is zoned to permit zero lot line development and was
proposed to be developed with townhouse type residences consistent with those
constructed on adjacent property to the north. The developer has proposed redesign of
the subject property for single family development due to poor market conditions for
the originally proposed housing. A preliminary plat has been submitted to the City
Plan Commission and approved for redesign of the subject property as single family
housing. The portions of utility easements proposed for vacation are no longer
necessary to serve this proposed development.
There are no utility facilities contained within the portion of the utility easements
proposed for vacation and reviewing City departments and utility companies have raised
no objection to the vacation of these portions of utility easements.
