ORDINANCE NO ~~t~
AN ORDINANCE INCREASING THE ESTIMATED RECEIPTS IN THE
SPECIAL TRUST FUND, AWARDED ASSETS, FUND FE72, ACCOUNT
488332, CENTER 035535000000, OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH FOR
FISCAL YEAR 1991 BY $16,918.00 AND APPROPRIATING SAID
AMOUNT TO THE SPECIAL TRUST FUND, AWARDED ASSETS, FUND
FE72, ACCOUNT 532200, CENTER 035535000000, FOR THE PURPOSE
OF PROVIDING TRAVEL/TRAINING FUNDS FOR THE EXECUTIVE
COMMITTEE OF THE 1992 F B.I NATIONAL ACADEMY TRAINING
CONFERENCE; PROVIDING FOR A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE, MAKING
THIS ORDINANCE CUMULATIVE OF PRIOR ORDINANCES AND
REPEALING ALL PRIOR ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH;
PROVIDING FOR ENGROSSMENT AND ENROLLMENT; AND PROVIDING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
FORT WORTH, TEXAS
SECTION 1
That in addition to those amounts allocated to the various City
departments for the Fiscal Year 1990-91 and in the Budget of the City Manager,
there shall also be increased estimated receipts in the Special Trust Fund,
Awarded Assets, Fund FE72, Account 488332, Center 035535004000, by the sum of
$16,918 00 and appropriating said $16,91$ 00 to the Special Trust Fund,
Awarded Assets, FE72, Account 532200, Center 035535000000 for the purpose of
providing travel/training funds for the executive committee of the 1992
F B I National Academy Training Conference
SECTION 2.
Should any portion, section or part of a section of this ordinance be
declared invalid, inoperative or void for any reason by a court of competent
jurisdiction, such decision, opinion or judgement shall i.n no way impair the
remaining portions, sections, or parts of sections of this ordinance, which
said remaining provisions shall be and remain in full force and effect
SECTION 3
That this ordinance shall be cumulative of Ordinance No. 10652 and all
other ordinances and appropriations amending the same except in those
instances where the provisions of this ordinance are in direct conflict with
such other ordinances and appropriations, in which instance said conflicting
provisions of said prior ordinances anal appropriations are hereby expressly
repealed
SECTION 4
The City Secretary of the City of Fort Worth is hereby directed to
engross and enroll this ordinance by copying the caption and effective date
into the minutes of the City Council and by filing this ordinance in the
ordinance records of the City of Fort Worth

SECTION 5
This ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and effect from and
after the date of its passage, and it is so ordained

SUBJECT TRAVEL/TRAINING FUNDS FOR THE EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE OF THE 1992 F.B.I. NATIONAL
ACADEMY TRAINING CONFERENCE
RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the City Council:
1. Adopt the attached Supplemental Appropriations Ordinance increasing Special Trust
Fund estimated receipts and appropriations by $16,918.00, and
2. Approve the use of $16,918.00 from the Special Trust Fund, Awarded Assets, to
provide travel/training funds for the executive committee of the 1992 F.B.I.
National Academy Training Conference.
DISCUSSION:
Fort Worth has been selected as the host of the 1992 Federal Bureau of Investigation
National Academy Section II Training Conference. The conference is to be held July 18th
~- 22nd, 1992 at the Tarrant County Convention Center, with. an estimated attendance of
over 2,000 F.B.I. National Academy graduates and their families.
The program theme is "Showcasing Our Best" and will focus on futuristics in law
enforcement. Special program topics will address how police managers can more
effectively do their jobs in anticipation of future changes in technology and the
economy. Nationally recognized instructors from the F.B.I. Academy, prominent business
and law enforcement leaders as well as the Honorable William S. Sessions, F.B.I.
Director will be invited as guest speakers.
In order to ensure a high level of participation from members at the lowest cost
possible, the Executive Committee is actively promoting this conference at major police
programs throughout the country. These programs include the F B.I Section I
Conference, San Diego; F.B.I. State Conference, San Antonio; International Association
of Chiefs of Police, Minneapolis, Minnesota; Affordable Meetings Conference, Washington
D.C.; and the Texas Police Association Annual Conference in Houston, Texas Executive
Committee members will be seeking exhibitors, attendees, speakers and sponsors at each
of these meetings for the 1992 conference in Fort Worth.

The Director of Fiscal Services certifies that the money required for this expenditure
is in the Treasury to the credit of the Special Trust Fund (Special Trust Fund FE 72,
