AN ORDINANCE VACATING, ABANDONING AND CLOSING AND
EXTINGUISHING A STREET RIGHT-OF-WAY LOCATED WITHIN
HOLLOWAY'S ADDITION TO THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS;
PROVIDING FOR REVERSION OF FEE IN SAID LAND; REPEALING
ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH,
TEXAS:
SECTION 1.
THAT the unnamed street right-of-way located adjacent to
Lot 10, Block 4, and Lot 10, Block 5, Holloway's Addition, as
recorded in Volume 310, Page 87, P.R.T.C.T., and as more specifi-
cally described in attached Exhibit "A", attached hereto and
incorporated herein, be and the same is vacated, abandoned and
permanently closed and extinguished.
SECTION 2.
That the fee to the land in the above described vacated street
right-of-way is hereby released and shall revert to the adjacent
owner as provided by law, SAVE AND EXCEPT that easements are
retained for any and all existing and prospective utilities.
SECTION 3.
That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed.

SECTION 4.
That this ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and
effect from and after the date of its passage, and it is so
ordained.

DESCRIPTION OF PROPERTY
SITUATED in the City of Fort Worth, Tarrant County, Texas, and being a tract of land
in the F. G. h1ULLIKEN SURVEY, Abstract No. 1045, and embracing portions of public
right-of-way lying east of and adjacent to Lot 10, Block 4 and Lot 10, Block 5,
HOLLOWAY'S ADDITION, as shown on plat thereof recorded in Volume 310, Page 87, of
the Tarrant County Plat Records, and east of the 12 foot wide alley along the
northerly side of said Block 5, and part of said public right-of-way being contained
in that certain parcel of land described in deed to Beacon Investment recorded in
Volume 4747, Page 397, of the Tarrant County Deed Records, and all being more fully
described as follows
BEGINNING at an iron rod set for the southeast corner of Lot 11, Block 10, Riverside
Gardens, as shown on plat in Volume 388-B, Page 190, of said Plat Records in the
northerly line of the dedication limits of said Holloway's Addition,
THENCE PJorth 74 degrees, 00 minutes East with said northerly line of dedication
limits of Holloway's Addition, 17.92 feet to the northeast corner of said dedication
limits,
THENCE South 24 degrees, 09 minutes, 15 seconds East with the easterly line of said
dedication limits of Holloway's Addition, 160.0 feet (314 feet per description) to
an "L" corner in said dedication limits,
THENCE South 85 degrees, 00 minutes East with a northerly line of said dedication
limits, 51.64 feet (51 feet per description) to a northeasterly corner of said
dedication limits in the westerly line of the right-of-way of the Gulf, Colorado,
and Santa Fe Railway Company as described in deeds in Volume 44, Pages 386 and 388,
and clarified in Quit Claim Deed in Volume 450, Page 493, of said Deed Records, by
description being 50 feet from the center of the railway company's tracks, said
point being on a curve whose center bears South 67 degrees, 16 minutes, 39 seconds
West, 5679.65 feet,
THENCE southerly with said curve and with said easterly line of dedication limits of
Holloway's Addition and said westerly line of Railway right-of-way, a distance of
78.59 feet to the point of intersection of said easterly and westerly line with the
southwesterly line of said Beacon tract, said point being on a curve whose center
bears South 48 degrees, 17 minutes, 15 seconds West, 391.22 feet,
THENCE northwesterly with said curve and with said southwesterly line of Beacon
tract, a distance of 56.66 feet to the point of intersection of said southwesterly
line with the east line of Lot 10 in said Block 4, Holloway's Addition, and a west
line of said public right-of-way,
THENCE PJorth 21 degrees, 00 minutes West with said east line of Lot 10, Block 4, and
west line of public right-of-way, 6.09 feet to the most easterly northeast corner of
said Lot 10,
THENCE North 62 degrees, 38 minutes, 10 seconds West with the northeasterly line of
said Lot 10, Block 4, 16.12 feet to the point of intersection of said northeasterly
line with said curve along the southwesterly line of Beacon tract, whose center at
this point bears South 36 degrees, 54 minutes, 14 seconds West, 391.22 feet,

THENCE North 52 degrees, 13 minutes, 23 seconds West with said easterly line of
closed portion of Prosser Street, 50.45 feet to the southeast corner of Lot 10, in
said Block 5, Holloway's Addition,
THENCE North 24 degrees, 09 minutes, 15 seconds West with the easterly line of said
Lot 10, Block 5, and with a westerly line of said public right-of-way, 126.28 feet
to the northeast corner of said Lot 10, and the southeast corner of said 12 foot
wide alley,
THENCE North 19 degrees, 15 minutes, 15 seconds West, crossing said 12 foot alley,
12.07 feet to the PLACE OF BEGI~lNING, and containing 0.1082 acre (4715 square feet).

RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the City Council adopt the attached ordinance vacating the
remaining portion of an unnamed street located adjacent to Lot 10, Block 4, and Lot 10,
Block 5, Holloway's Addition, as recommended by the City Plan Commission on March 27,
1991.
DISCUSSION:
Texas Cold Storage, Ltd., owner of all adjacent property, requested that the City
vacate this portion of an unnamed street (delineated in the attached field notes).
This street right-of-way is an unvacated portion of a previously vacated right-of-way
which runs parallel to the Santa Fe Railroad at the east end of East North Tenth Street
and Prosser Street. The vacated right-of-way is undeveloped and does not contain any
utility facilities and is proposed to be used for further development of the adjacent
property Reviewing City departments and private utility companies have raised no
objections to this request. A satisfactory replat has been submitted.
This request is located in Council DISTRICT 2.
FISCAL INFORMATION/CERTIFICATION:
The Land Agent for the City of Fort Worth has determined that a one dollar fee
satisfies the interest of the City in this request due to the undeveloped nature of the
street right-of-way.
